  • is it strange for the child to be older than the parents XD?

  • @RSObiWan: Not where time travel is involved. Then it's on the lower end of the possible paradoxes.

  • The 3 dislikes are the Silence, the Headless Monks, and that eye-patch bitch.

  • "Her days yes and nights night, well, that's between her and me eh," Oh god Doctor your so so.. just gosh this is a children's show

  • One question-does it really work that when river shoots the teselecta it starts to regenerate...does that really work?

  • they will never name the doctor -.- they know its wouldn't be doctor who if they knew his name

  • Herbert....... Thats his name. Watch Matts lips :-)

  • Of course I'm sure, I'm his wife!

    And I'm his....mother in law...

Father dear, I think mummy might need another drink.

    LOL! Gets me every time

  • He was running around in Madame de Pompadour's head in his 10th incarnation. Telepathy: check. :D

  • @syr3nth3r3dqu33n Trust me, telepathy had little to do with it. XD ;)

  • The look of repulsion on Amy's face when she realises she's the Doctor's mother-in-law. She tried to do it with her future son in law. I cannot stop laughing at that xD xD xD xD

  • What if River had looked in the wrong eye?

"She would have been like what the heck is he talking about?"

  • @ktcatdoglover91P LOL that would be funny :D

  • i was like aww when i saw river and the doctor kiss

  • The head said the fall of the eleventh is happening! noooooo

  • OMG, just noticed it! Amy's got a diary too!

  • I suppose it makes sense that the Doctor wouldn't actually tell River his name at that point. It would be recorded by the Teselecta. However now I'm wondering when he actually does tell her his name. Maybe right before he regenerates into Twelve? After all, if that question can't go unanswered, he'll need to tell someone. And no one said he had to tell the asker (unless the asker is River herself). Either way it'll obviously bring down the Silence once and for all.

  • Maybe the scenario will go something like this:

*Silence are about to beat them, and the Doctor realizes this is his final confrontation as Eleven*

"River, I don't suppose you'll mind if I become another Doctor today?"

    "Doctor who?" *flirtatious smirk*

"Oh, of course YOU would ask, wouldn't you?" *tells her*

*Big confrontation, Doctor regenerates, River thinks he's sexy, Silence die, everyone goes home happy and the Doctor randomly decides flannel is cool*

  • @AtarahDerek He may have told her as he kissed her. Remember, in series 2, Madame De Pompadour saw stuff about the Doctor as he held her head; River may have seen his name as they kissed.

  • @Jamestopboy But the image of the Doctor that we saw at the wedding was the Teselecta. And unless the Doctor can communicate telepathically through that without having it recorded, I don't think that's the moment he told her his name.

  • @AtarahDerek Susan, in the original series, was slightly telepathic, and she had to have inherited it from somewhere, so why not the Doctor. He could easily be telepathic; we know only a very little about him.

  • @Jamestopboy He's a Time Lord. Of course he's telepathic. I'm surprised Susan isn't more so (apparently women are supposed to be better at that kind of thing than men). Ten used it more often than Eleven seems to, and the Doctor used it to unify three of his incarnations at one point. But can he communicate through the Teselecta? If so, is it a secure channel?

  • @AtarahDerek Susan wasn't good at it because she was young; the Doctor said so himself in "The Sensorites" but that with some training she'd be better, so I'd take a guess that it is rather a secure line; and remember, the master can make the Doctor hear the drums by holding his head; the Doctor kissing River has to be more powerful that holding the Doctor's head, so I believe the channel would be secure. After all, River even says that she lies all the time because of spoilers.

  • @Jamestopboy The Doctor is definitely telepathic but I think it has to be triggered through touch. Remember, he could only let Donna hear the natural Ood singing by touching her face, same for him hearing the Master's drums. The Tesselecta wouldn't have let him come into skin contact with River. I think he tells her at Trenzelore or she at least overhears it.

  • @danaseilhan He probably tells her at Darillium; it is their last meeting (in his timeline, anyway) so what better time to tell her?

  • @Jamestopboy We actually don't know what his last meeting with her is. They don't see one another in exact order, even when you take into account that he's going in one general direction and she's going in another. You've noticed, I'm sure, that when they meet up they ask one another about *events* rather than *dates.*

  • @Jamestopboy In other words, Darillium was the last time *she* saw *him* before the library. But when he saw her may have jumped around some more.

  • @danaseilhan Yes, that is what I meant; he may have told her his name there because he knows that it is the last time SHE will see him, and the last time, in HER timeline, that he can tell her his name.

  • Comment removed

  • @FeckBig That meeting, she mentions is "Darillium", so it is their last meeting!

  • @danaseilhan wow. this is a conversation guessing when the Doctor told Song his name on Doctor Who, a show that defies laws of time and space, no matter how often they claim otherwise.

  • All good things must come to an End. Even the Doctor knows that. You just get tired of running. And its just the scale of it all. The Final End of The Doctor; a day we try to forsake... Time really has no master.

  • "Her days - yes, her nights... Well that's between her and me." oh WOW!

  • DOC-CEPTION!!!!

  • And I'm his ... mother-in-law.

  • Does the music at 6:04 exist as a whole soundtrack?

  • @Mephisto342 it called i am the doctor. It the theme song for the 11th doctor

  • Ever since I watched this epi I always think of Rory as "the man who dies and dies again." Gotta love Doctor Who's Kenny XD

  • Tick tock goes the clock

He gave all he could give

    Tick tock goes the clock

    Now prison waits for River

  • CHILLS! :DDDD This is the best, the best, the best, the best... you get the idea. It makes me want to scream and jump. Wow... fangirl, much? Sorry. Can't help it. :D

  • Hidden in plain sight......

how could i miss it? It's the freakin' title of the tv show!

  • three people didn't like the question

  • amy is wearing rorys jacket form "lets kill hitler"

  • alright,my head feels all strange. its a weird thudding in my head.maybe its hitler in the cupboard.

  • I'm was relived to know that the Doctor is still alive from watching this.

  • I thought he had really died for a bit there!

  • Doctor! you REALLY GOT ME THIS TIME!! AH!

  • I just love this. Utterly fantastic.

  • have that moniker way back then now did he? And Susan his own Granddaughter would know his real name. There is no proof she is dead. and according to the companion book to The Five Doctors she not only married David from Daleks invasion of Earth but also had 2 or 3 children. Now whose to say she didn't tell them ALL about their great-Grandfather. Name and all? Nothing! So that mystery of his bleeding name is beyond stupid!!

  • @sallyjosie In 'An Unearthly Child' (the very first story) the Doctor is the first person to ask the question. Ian refers to him as 'Doctor Foreman' and the Doctor responds with 'Doctor who? What's he talking about?', as if he is completely clueless about that name, about being called Foreman. 'Doctor who?' has been a running mystery through the history of the series, and so his name has always been treated with mystery. Names are highly significant; also bear in mind the Cartmel Masterplan. :)

  • @sallyjosie Not true, sorry. Back on Gallifrey, they called the Doctor "Theta". Theta Sigma, to be precise. Remember when River gratified the oldest cliff face in the universe? The two runes she put after "Hello, Sweetie" were the runes "theta" and "sigma", standing for the name he used when addressing Gallifreyans. So, basically, he used the name Theta earlier, (and the Master used the name Koschei, but that's unimportant), but it wasn't his really name. It was like an internet handle, kinda.

  • @PhoenixWormwood137 The novels arent canon anymore, so don't worry about the Koschei thing

  • @zipzaggingallifrey2 THE - NOVELS - AREN'T - CANON - ? not even that one?

*90% of my Doctor Who knowledge drains away* But on the TARDIS index file!! They're on the TARDIS index file without even a little note that says "the canonicity of this is unknown" like they do for the normal novels...

  • @PhoenixWormwood137 If the time war only happened in the novels, that makes those stories canon at least.

  • @AtarahDerek true :)

  • The name isn't that big of a mystery. Before the dr ran away from Gallifrey, he DID NOT USE THE NAME THE DOCTOR! Watch The Deadly Assassin and The Armageddon Factor. Deadly assassin strongly hints what the dr's real name is and in The Armageddon Factor the Dr meets an old friend from his days at the Time Lord Academy and he keeps calling him by his school nickname and twice the dr had to correct him. And Drax had NO IDEA that he wanted to be called the Dr until The dr told him. So he didn't....

  • @sallyjosie Personally I think his name is some variant of Armageddon (or Abaddon in Hebrew and who-knows-what in Gallifreyan). He's been running from it, he winces every time someone calls him a destroyer as if it's a truth he can't deny no matter how hard he tries, and River apologizes profusely when she whispers his name in his ear. And he's a technical pacifist who feels his hand is constantly being forced--forced to live up to his name perhaps?

  • @AtarahDerek There are some who say he is the Other, one of the founding triumvirate of Time Lord society. Apparently Gallifrey had a minor holiday, Otherstide, that fell on the Doctor's naming day--and the Doctor always seemed to know more about the beginnings of Time Lord society than he seemed willing to let on. He's probably genetically related even if he isn't the exact same person.

  • @sallyjosie Excuse me, Apollyon, not Armageddon. Armageddon is the name of the final battle that will take place at Megiddo. Apollyon is the Greek form of Abaddon.

  • 6:41 he's looking the wrong way ...

  • who thinks amy drank the other bottle?

  • The fall of the 11th - Matt is the 11th incarnation of the Doctor...

  • @Samuel24842 that could be what they want you to think ...

  • this is my fav doctor who scene :)

  • his name is doc for who

  • Im going to ball when Amy&Rory say their final goodbyes.

Everything about them- the growth of their relationship, the way that they function together and as individuals, the way that they can make me crack up, tear up, and swoon all in the course of 45 minutes- makes me feel whole.

Maybe that means that I need a more exciting life, but none the less, when they leave, a part of me will go with them.

  • I can't like this video enough times!!!!!

  • My god that last scene with "the question".....gave me goosebumps. Amazing writers of this program....I have been watching doctor who since I can remember and they can still surprise me...hats off to them all!!!

  • "I got too big, too noisy." -Hipster Doctor

  • So if the doctor didn't reveal his name to River here.... then when does he tell his name???

  • @lunarheart14 He ever ca appparently, or else bad things will happen.

  • @WWalton1996 But the last time that she sees the doctor, Ten, she proves that she is important by telling him his name... So what I'm wondering is when she learns it herself.

  • @lunarheart14 Sorry my "n" isn't working well.

  • @lunarheart14 On the Field of Trenzalor, at the Fall of Eleventh. Which will be probably at the very end of next season. This is my theory anyway.
