nowhere near the best fight ever! chacon v edwards 2,chacon v limon 4,chacon v frias,mancini v kim,gatti v robinson 1 and 2,McCauley v bassa,chavez v taylor,leonard v hearns and tons of others are all tons better

Navarette did not last long!!Even though Edwards lost this was the beginning of his warrior days.He was never in a dull fight!! I really miss this guy.He was also a true gentleman in and out of the ring!!

Boza Edwards was one tough SOB. I remember watching this fight as a kid. For Navarette to beat him, well, it was a HELL of an accomplishment. I also remember Bazooka Limon trying cave Rolando's rib cage into. Great fights!

Better to watch is his first defense against Choi Chung-Il at the Araneta coliseum. 1982 was the year.
i watched this fight live when i was in gradeschool. one of my brothers is a former boxer in the bantamweight division and he is a great fan of navarette, and so am I. Well, you are entitled to your own opinion but i dont think that he could have been the most famous pinoy fighter. Basically because he has a soft chin and doesnt move well in the ring, but that's just my observation and opinion.:-) Great video anyway.
you must be mexican. well, not all Filipinos over exaggerate and i'm one of them. And i dont think Pacman is crap. It's just maybe because we Filipinos have not have a boxing champ for a long time until Pacman arrived. Sincerely, I think Pacman will beat a lot more good Mexican fighter than any other boxer.

Rolando Navarette is Manny Pacquiao's inspiration in entering boxing. The Philippine Government should help him because he bring honor to our country.
Navarrete could have been one of the greatest fighters from the Philippines if not for his "extra-curricular activities" that eventually landed him in jail where I think he spent the best years of his life as a boxer...

Boza himself took part in a much better fight, his 2nd fight v Chacon, way way better than this, way better.
Chacon-Limons 4th fight blows it away also & of course the king of all fights... Morales-Barrera I, much better also.
