@TelewestDigital Search Rockstar North on wiki, trust me its not, i know sam and dan are english, but them two plus another scot do the writing then the game is fully developed in scotland, plus it was invented by a scot, if u are going to say its english then just think if it was the other way round, sam n dan were scots and rockstar north was english, would u honestly be saying that it was a scottish game??

Hmm, I don't think it is as great as you say. No way worth 20 euro. And i know Gangstar is a copy of this, but I happen to think Ganstar is super cool, I just ignore the missions and run around doing whay i want. Motor bikes, helicopters, i steal them all, lol. Sniper rifles, flame throwers, grenades, yeah, gangstar is cool, and the driving part is a lot more fun than GTA

@SickoZone You're kidding right? Gangstar is a mediocre, blatant rip off. It looks like crap, every mission is either driving or shooting, the game is entirely uncreative, the city is empty and doesn't feel lifelike at all, and it's altogether a sloppy imitation of the last gen GTA games.

part 2 - The company who makes Grand Theft Auto 1,2,3,San Andreas, vice city, 5 Etc are based in Edinburgh Scotland and are called Rockstar North because Scotland is in North Britian, they use to be called DMA Design before Rockstar bought they company. So GTA is and always will be 100% a Scottish game because it is made entirely in Scotland. This app however was made also by Rockstar Leeds in England. hope this helps :)

Rockstar is an American Brand that buys game companies around the world and makes them change their name to Rockstar. so the main headquarters is in New York I think. GTA 4 is way better than chinatown and episodes from liberty city is also cool! GTA4 has multiplayer. Also Red Dead Redemption is COOL!!

@theunits3 sort of. It has got team deathmatch and various other game modes but it seems like the most often played online on gta these days is free roam so you can kill others if you want or team up or be alone or whatever

Yeah has multiplayer, imagine exploring the whole city with friends online, a lot fun, plus you can play through missions together, such as 1 team being cops and other being robbers, basically cops have got to stop the robbers from making it to there getaway speedboat. Loads different types of missions, plus there's racing as well.

Not as hardcore as MW2, but still worth it getting.

@theunits3 yeah it's aaamaaaaaaaazing -you can find it online for about a tenner now and the storyline is just superb - the multiplayer is pretty good but it is better on the DLCs - in my opinion, it's the best 2008 xbox game, if not The Best xbox game.

@theunits3 It does have multiplayer... deathmatch types, racing types, and objective based types, some "other" category game types.. and it has free roam mode where you can go around the city with a bunch of friends and cause havoc... BUT the highlight of the game for me was the deep story... perhaps the case may be the same for you.

Ipads resolution *4. do the math and that's a huge resolution. Impossible for a 10 inch device unless you spend $1000s. A camera possibly though, it would be bad quality

Oh and Rockstar North are still based in Edinburgh. They have multiple studios where they develop games. Rockstar North is where they develop the main GTA games (III, Vice City, San Andreas, GTA IV, etc). It's still very much a Scottish franchise.

They'll be working on GTA V, or at least the next installment, as we speak.

This is much better in the PSP as you are on ground level. The DS version and this version if from an aerial view and the people are tiny. On the PSP you can chop peoples heads off with a sword ;)

I've had the (dis)pleasure of playing this game on both the PSP and iPod touch, and I find the controls to be woefully unresponsive and the overall mission structure and game design uninspired. Nevertheless, I'm sure Rockstar Mobile will be thrilled with your glowing review, Zen.
