  • what leslie do you use?

  • I absolutely love your playing, Jen. I'm just not a big fan of Hammond organists fussing over constantly switching their Leslie speeds; it's distracting and doesn't necessarily add anything to the song they're playing.

  • @colonelmusket79 I think it adds a lot of empasis to the sound IMHO.

  • This is the kind of music that I was raised on. God has blessed you with a wonderful talent that you can bless others with. That sound reminds me of many a old fashioned tent meetings that my parents used to take us to. Not many of those around anymore. I could listen to music like this for hours. God bless you.

  • I love your playing so much. I play a Hammond A100 at the church I attend. Where can I get a Tremolo like you have on the one that you are playing?

  • @Leeviten And we all wonder why there are so little a number of young people in our churches today? It's cuz of petty minded people like you who think tradition is more important than the purpose of church itself and more important than Jesus. Tune into REALITY FM.

  • Wonderful Hammond sound ! And played so well. I just love this !

    Thanks.

  • Beautiful.

  • Jen, I am a born again Spirit filled Christian. My dad was an Assembly of God preacher for 63 years before he passed away. I love the Gospel of the Hammond organ. Do you remember an Evangelist from Beaumont, Texas by the name of Bob Bryson? They called him Mr. 10 fingers of the Hammond and the world wanted him to play for the world and not God. He traveling preacher friend was Kenny Foreman.

  • jflowers do you have a CD out. And if not WHY!!! I would love to have a CD with all of your music on it. Please seriously consider it ok?

  • I have to say im just in love with the hammond Gospel sound its wonderful

reminds me of a good ol penticostal meeting where when you go in you just

feel the wonderful presence of God and you cant help but smile.

  • Def---one of my favorites. Jennifer demonstrates a type of "command" with these chords. hmmm, just needs a bit of interjection with another keyboard, for a 'fresh' breath

  • Beautiful

    Thank You for sharing

  • Jen is the strongest "tug" back to the church that I have ever experienced. I no longer believe, but she makes me want to.

  • i love the sound of the hammond

  • You play alot like the pianist in our church. She's been playing there for around 50 years. She's now 95 and still plays. WHAT A BLESSING YOU ARE. I am going to that city. Praise God !.

  • I love ole hyms, thats hot!!!

  • Rich good Gospel Playing!

  • You are a gifted player. Your music is very soothing. I too have a Hammond (C3) with the original JR20 speaker and a Leslie 300. My organ is 51 years old and I simply can't think of putting holes anywhere in her to mount switches. I velcroed a foot switch onto the top of my volume pedal and eliminated all "clicking' sounds or any visible indication of using the Leslie...a real distraction to me. Just a thought. Knightsix

  • Wow can you play, when I am having a bad day I come and listen to your playing and it picks me up.

Thank you Lord Jesus for allowing her to play for you and bless each of us that hears. Amen

I would love to be able to play organ but at least I can enjoy your playing.

God bless you and Merry Christmas

  • I have always loved the sound of the Hammond organ. I get so tired of keyboards in almost every church service. Bring back the soothing sound of this type music. It's beautiful.

  • Hi Sister Jen, God has really blessed you with a talent! Don't ever stop playing your Hammond! It's such a pleasure just to listen to you play the organ! Remember: "The Hammond Tonewheel Organ is GOD'S Harmonica".

God Bless You & Your Music

  • Yes,....I knew Wayne. I lived in the same town. He has been in my home where I videoed him playing our B3 for about an hour. I still have the video.

  • Thanks for sharing this. What memories it brings back. My Grandpa loved this song and I actually was able to sing it in his memory at his "Coming Home" service.

  • Hallelujah, We need MORE of this kind of music in Church's today !!!! Praise HIS name !!!!

  • I wish I could down-load her music on to my ipod. That way I could listen wherever I go.

Thank you so much for your beautiful music. I enjoy it so much more than the contemporary stuff I have to endure in church nowdays.

  • Excellent!

I was privileged to hear a great and Dear friend "Jerry McKinney" play this song on my Hammond CV, while talking to Paul Allen, He told Paul that this was his Dad's song Paul's Dad was the late Rev A. A. Allen!

  • Why do you keep chaning the settings on the Organ?? I dont know anything about Organs, is that something that common to do while playing?

  • This is a common practice with hammond organs with a leslie speaker. All she is doing is changing speeds on the leslie.

  • @tharris01: Hammand organs offer tremendous tonal range which can be altered by the drawbars (above the keyboard) as well as vibrato effects from the rotating (Leslie) speakers and volume pedal. Too many players of 'popular' music yank the drawbars so much it's a distraction. The 'click' you hear is from her Leslie control switch causing the rotating speaker to speed up or slow down. Just a thought. Knightsix
