US crisis is not over yet, the recovery plan was rejected. If US allows one bank to bankrupt, this could bring down many banks amongst which is Fortis. I'd take a cancellation insurance on my holiday if I where you.

Maybe it'll go up again, but it won't be as fast as you expect. But Fortis is a crap enterprise which was run till recently, by a senile old fool called Maurice Lippens. They pay the lowest intrests and still they're not able to offer security for their clients' money. Without the government intervention Fortis would be dead and that's a fact.

Good bank or not. Maybe you missed the free fall the stock had these last months! They launched the original commercial just weeks before the downfall, it puts the commercial in a whole other perspective...
