I really like the look of the cafe "bistro" car but I must say its not very practical. Those stools aren't very comfortable and there are very few. It seems like there is a lot of wasted space. I heard they might redo them in the style of regular cafe cars.
I Love the acela. First time (and only time on a train so far) was awesome. made it from New Haven, CT to Washington DC in 4 hrs

They arent redoing them in the style of a regular cafe they are putting regular seats in and a ada seat!

It was a family vacation so I didn't pay for the tickets, I'm not sure how much they were. You can check on Amtrak's website if you want

yeah I agree, it looks cool but isn't very practical. A lot of open, empty space where there could be seats or tables

Nice shot! I've been on the Acela Express before back in April 2007 on 2155 from Stamford to Washington, DC and it was very exciting. 5 stars!!!!!
