  • It's CHE Time!

  • Horror Channel SKY 319 are screening this in November.

  • I loved this movie back in the 80's on Betamax video, i'm 40 now and recently got it on dvd and it's still one of my fav movies of all time. "if you're lying...i'll be back" classic.

  • More movies need to be directed by Glickenhaus.

  • Can anybody get this and send me a copy???

Loved the bit when the guy gets put in the mincer

  • @hearts76100 It's now out on DVD and Bluray.

  • @oldschoolbx1970 Is it the uncut version?

  • @kzfive It's been out on both bluray and dvd uncut for a few months.

  • @oldschoolbx1970 Thanks

  • @kzfive Anytime.

  • Death Wish meets The Punisher?

  • I saw this at the Prospect theater in The Bronx with Scalpel as the co-feature back in September 1980. Then I saw it again at the same theater as a co-feature to An Eye For An Eye starring Chuck Norris.

  • Banned in the uk ,but my mate managed to get a copy !Good stuff !

  • Hey, it's that Paper chase guy

  • FUCKING CLASSIC!!!1

  • My mother covered my eyes when the hooker gets her nipples melted with the soldering iron. I was 10 when this came out.

  • I remember seeing this on an old blank tape that i watched regularly because it had Predator on it back when i was a kid. Right after Predator ended this just started up, however it was recorded 10 min. into the flick, i missed the way beginning. Kick ass movie though :)

  • "If you're lying, I'll be back."

  • Where can I find this movie it looks great

  • @benjamin1383 amazon

  • This movie was terrible aside from like, 2 good scenes one of the being the opening. No plot, no one to give a shit about, bad direction (especially the editing) and Cristopher George plays the worst cop in movie history (not acting wise but character wise, did he ever do any work? he just nailed that one chick and heard about the exterminator for the whole movie). Even for exploitation this movie was lame.

  • I remember as a kid always seeing this at the video store and thinking the cover art was cool.

  • 00:04

This is STILL one of the best stunts I've ever seen in a film.

  • Is this the movie where someone's dropped in a meat grinder?

  • @fredhandl Yes.

  • @fredhandl yezza!

  • Dexter morgan ancestor^^

  • Comment removed

  • The acting, soundtrack, everything about this film is the nuts. even the guy getting his neck sliced looked fucking real.

  • The Exterminator, one of my favorite NYC movies along with 1980s Defiance. Seen em both when they first came out. Sure looks like a time capsule.

  • One of my all time favourites!

  • Best film i ever saw.

  • the one scene i remember well is the infamous "chicken boy" sequence where ginty does a raid on a brothel for perverts who like young boys,he kicks the door to one room open and theirs a fat guy in a towel with a nude boy tied down with his mouth gagged

  • im looking at the movie right now........come on he was just a nigga lol that part was funny

  • @j2822jy "that nigger was best my best friend you motherfucker CRUNCH!!!!" lmfao

  • @j2822jy you know what! being black myself, the way he said it was fucking hilarious! and when he goes "we didnt hurt you" i swear he really is shitting himself.

  • he was the one who first said "I'll be back", not that dipshit terminator

  • I like the bit with the hot dog. Not sure I'd try it though.

  • "If your lying, i'll be back"..quality words.

  • Cool! It's been too long since i last saw it. Must've been in my childhood....the movie is nearly impossible to find here in Belgium. Too bad!

  • Is it just me, or is this film supposed to be "The Punisher", only the producers didn't want to pay Marvel?

  • This movie was supposed to be The Executioner wich is the comic book that Punisher is based off :P

  • I think Robert Ginty was a vastly underrated actor. For him to do this and something comedic like the father in Loverboy. A real loss :(

  • This movie was actually not that bad, and surprisingly good. We aren't talking academy award, and Death Wish it wasn't, but it was a Death Wish type movie. I liked it anyway, which is all that matters really.

  • Hilariously bad/good -- saw this around '83 on, I think, Betamax! Is this out on DVD? Torrents available?

  • I saw this the year after, also on Betamax. It was one of the banned so called Video Nasties...

  • @agfagaevart It was never on the official video nasty banned list

  • Are you sure??

  • Robert Ginty is the helicopter pilot in Harley Davidson and the Marlboro man.

  • Favorite line from Ginty when he's trying to get access to the child trafficker: "Hey! Got some chicken for sale -- ya hungry?"

  • There's an excellent beheading sequence in this flick, surprisingly realistic for the time the movie was made.I just picked up the uncut version on DVD after I heard Robert Ginty had passed away, very sad news.

  • Just read your comment and didnt even know that Robert Ginty had passed away.. Been a fan of The Exterminator for over 20 years and first remember watching bits of it about '84 time. I was only 8 then.. the same time I accidently saw another memorable decapitation scene in The Omen! Scared me for years!

  • RIP Robert Ginty, Christopher George and Steve James

  • First film I ever saw on video (1981) Love it to death. RIP Robert Ginty

  • RiP robert "the exterminator" ginty

  • JUST HEARD!

    WOW!!!

    RIP

  • i finally see this movie i go on wikipedia and i find out he died the day before..crazy

  • RIP Robert Ginty

  • I've got a copy of this film, but it's a 1985 recording from HBO.

  • Europe called, they wan to make movies about americans.

  • "What time's the voice-over guy supposed to get here?"

"Oh, shit, yeah... I forgot to tell you, he called yesterday. Said he couldn't make it."

"Oh... So what do we do?"

  • The sequel is better!

I thought that this movie was gonna bring the concept of the Flamethrower Man, but NOOO!

He only use the flamethrower once just to burn one bad guy that is tied to a chain. Also there isn't to much action is more like shooting a couple of bad guys one at the time after many blah!blah!blah! scenes.

P.S: If you want to see a movie like this then Death Wish is MUCH BETTER.

  • **SPOILER ALERT**

Actually, he doesn't burn that guy; he didn't have to as he got the info he wanted from him.

But he does shoot him dead later in the film.

  • great film, probably watch this again soon!

  • its still availible on dvd,i have one in my collection....

  • this was banned for a while wasnt it?? like the texas chainsaw massacre?? am i right?

  • I heard there is a director's cut. Anyone seen it or have it?

  • I havnt seen this since I was like 10 years old.

  • 1:35 - He blasts that scum bag right next to a Che Guevara Flag. How appropriate.

  • Thanks giofre! This was one of the first movies I watched on my dad's vhs! I was 8 and I still remember it! Great movie!

  • Upload this movie, if anybody still has it.

  • i know mann its pissing me off.....i saw in the video store i work at we had a used version of the film for like 7 bucks, and me being a dumbass kept it on hold for too long and they put it back in the aisle! such a classic film

  • I cant remember what the name of that shotgun he used in the movie anyone now?

  • M-16 I think

  • Jim glickenhaus is the director of the protecter wid jackie chan

  • its the corvette of revenger flicks (death wish being the ford) LOL \m/

  • i couldnt find a movie of it on netflix or bolckbuster.

  • i ting too!!!

  • Great flick! I saw it as soon as it was out.

    Love that flamethrower he builds.

We need to raise up an army of men like this and clean up America!

  • @hootinouts Where? when? :)

  • Thanks for posting this. The Exterminator is one of my favorite films and I enjoyed seeing this.

  • From what I remember about this movie besides the brilliance of Robert Ginty is the song they use during the opening credits-it gave this movie a different feel right off the bat-not using it in the trailer was a mistake. There are some great shots of gritty '80's New York in this classic.

  • THIS is what Death Wish should have been. Someone OUT-Canoned Canon films. Robert Ginty was awesome in Paper Chase. Somewhere between Anthony Edwards and Mike Ferral... Robert Ginty.

  • Can anybody tell me what that movie with the vigilante with the armed garbage truck is called?

  • Exterminator 2

  • Thanks. Now I have to see the first one, too.

  • I saw this movie last night and it was the shit. Long live Steve James. The guy at :48 is a cop.

Ps. watch American Ninga 2-4. kick ass

  • damn...they sold this for 8 dollars and i didnt buy it! OMGAHWD!

  • Who's that guy at 0:48? He looks retarded.

  • roger moore

  • Principal Skinner

  • wait till i get that fu@@in jonny and that tony im gonna cut there balls off....lol class

  • One of my favorite movies all time. Must have seen this movie 10 like times. Just got The Exterminator (Director's Cut) on DVD. I also like Exterminator 2. Hopefully part 2 will be released on DVD.

  • hi there are there any extra features on the directors cut!any commentary etc cheers

  • No, no extra features.

  • this one of my top five vids love it this and class of 1984 the warriors bad boys (sean penn) and christiane f , early 80s gritty movies they dont get any better

  • Wacking dirt-bags, excellent movie.

  • The music does not really fit, it makes it sound as if this was a slasher movie instead of an agressor movie (agressor is a term from a detective story anthology referring to the fictional veterans who engaged in War Against the Mafia and served as Gangland's Doom).
