Well, personally this is the kind of sound I grew up on. I was literally listening to portishead and radiohead since I was in the womb. That being said, the whole fucking point of the band is the triphop fused with the haunting folkish vocals. One would not work without the other. To insult one element is to insult them both. The thing is, since you complimented the singer and bashed the music, it made you out to be floppy and anal. That's one way it could be seen.

Don't compare Fallout to Metro, they are completely different games, one is a single-player action RPG, the other is a single-player story-driven pure FPS. The fact that they both take place in a post-apocalyptic setting means very little.

@strawdable Frankly they're different versions of the same apocalyptic theme. Metro is MUCH darker, showing how humanity is forced into the very dark recesses of it's own creations.

Fallout can be dark but... Gamebryo engine. Yeah sure Deathclaws are scary but it's almost cartoony. Frankly it's just due to the fact Bethseda are alot more effective at marketting their product.
