i found why.....is from Kojima productiosn .....is just like the solar gun from MGS4 and the box from MGS2 , they are Cameos... i would do that too if i had my own productions

I've never understood why Otacon notices the Psycho Mantis mind-controlling music. He never gets possessed, and Snake doesn't hear it - what does it mean?

icecrystal2k , Psycho Mantis' theme music is the only music that can be heard by the game's characters. Hal mentions it, Snake notices it and Naomi Hunter mentions it too.

In this particular instance, Otacon says "Wasn't that some kind of music?" but Snake doesn't hear it. Or, at least, I don't think he does, as he ignores Otacon's comment completely. I was just wondering why it isn't audible to Snake, and whether there was a layer of meaning I wasn't picking up on. :)

""I don't think he does"" You don't think so, But I know so. Because, IN FACT, Snake can hear it. After Meryl's headhache takes place (before you fight against Psycho Mantis), turn on the Codec and contact Roy Campbell on the Codec:

SNAKE :"Colonel...Meryl's acting kind of strange."

CAMPBELL :"Maybe she's just feeling a little tired from all the stress."

NAOMI :"Snake, do you hear something that sounds like a song?"

I have me a question... I know that if you beat the game as Tux-clad snake and save Otacon, you get a differnt costume for Otacon; like how Meryl gets to wear a sneaking suit if you do it for her... My question is, what is Otacon's alternate costume, and could you post a video of him wearing it if you have one?

I don't think Otacon gets a different outfit, just Snake, Meryl, and Fox. Although it'd be awesome if he did though.

Really? Because if you look up Twin Snakes unlockables, it says that if you beat the game while wearing the Tux and save Otacon, he'll get a different outfit on your next playthrough... I wonder if its true...

Otakorp Inc. owns the rights to the name, and Konami had to receive permission to use the the name. The spelling and translation might have just been a mistranslation or done intentionally to alude to his "otakuness" and not the actual convention.
