agree about Atif Aslam, but not Ali Azmat though.. and btw, the solo is AMAZING considering he has no one backing him up on bass OR guitar.. Try picking up an acoustic yourself and soloing alone and make people enjoy it!

If this solo is amazing then you might as well call Salman a great vocalist as well lol. I play the upright bass so I don't need to pick up the acoustic guitar. Also, to have an opinion you don't necessarily have to play a certain instrument or hit the E note. You don't need bass or rhythm to make your solo sound great. Listen to "Every Person is a Story" by Zaki or some of Peter White's stuff and you'll see that Salman is a million years behind. You can worship him all you want.

And don't bring in Zaki in this man.. sigh.. he may be light years ahead but people have even forgotten what he looks like. He's probably sitting in his pyjamas at home, youtubing this video and going "what does he have that I don't?" Wasted his own talents.

1st, Simon Cowell cannot sing or play anything to save his life but he is bigger than Bruce Springsteen. I don't have to play anything to criticize a musician. 2nd, I never questioned Salman's success, I criticized his vocals. There is a HUGE difference, agreed? 3rd, Zaki plays for the love of music, not for the love of fame. And no Zaki does not question what Salman has that he doesn't. People like Zaki, Rizwan Khan of Final Cut, Adnan Afaq, Faraz, Rana Hassan laugh when Salman plays. FACT!

Najam Sheraz got 150K from Dr. Riffat Siddiquie of Lips Record for his very first album. He was on top during those MCC days but got screwed. Zaki got squat from SONIC for Signature. He lost money because he spent almost 100K with Nizar Lalani/Shaheen recording the album. So, if you lose money releasing an album, I don't think you would want to do it over and over. Agreed?

Zaki didn't waste his talent. He plays all the time. He does it for music, not fame. Just last week he was recording with Emad Rahman. Zaki does a lot of Jazz so you'll see him around Emad, Russell, Gumby. We all go way back. Again, it is okay to criticize singers or musicans even if you cannot sing or play. We all have ears and something in between them. You can add Emad on facebook. You'll get updates when he plays with Zaki or even Ali Azmat since Emad is Ali's right hand. Take care now!

Salman and Ali Azmat can never recreate the Junoon magic by going their ways. Salman was perhaps the more brainy and clearly the guitar expert. Ali Azmat's voice is unmatchable. That's what made them great together.

Listening to Salman's terrific guitaring, one almost wishes Ali was there to take on the vocals the way they should be.
