When Two-Face is talking to the guard, the way he's calm and methodical, they way his tone switches back and forth between Harvey Dent and Two-Face. That's as close to TAS and Comic Book Two-Face as TLJ is going to get.
I was always a bit dissappointed in the way they chose to portray Inspector Gordon up until the Nolan movies, in the Tim Burton movies and this plus UGH, Batman and Robin. He was simply a fat police standing on the side, but in the comics he's a badass...:S
Two Face always always baffled me in this movie. What the hell is his motivation? Does he want money? Batman dead? Why? Where's the duality aspect or the reliance on chance? Aside from the opening monologue, it's never mentioned again.
The Riddler wants the collective knowledge of Gotham, Two Face just wants....stuff.

Personally loved this film, you can tell its not the most serious kind because of It being made by tim Burton style and the villans which really seem to be the main characters IMO.
with two-face attempting to be the replacement for joker and the riddler... what else would you expect from Jim carrey. Of course some people seem to like the more serious ones (such as one of the current top comments) and would prefer the dark night two-face and a jig saw like riddler (arkham city maybe)
@PencilManners Dude this has nothing to do with Tim Burton, this is all Schumacher's doing and the studios fault, they only credited Burton because of the other Batman movies even though he had nothing to do with this movie.
The Riddler and Two-Face are my two favourite Batman villains but this is not the way I would've done them because Two-Face is too much like the Joker in this one and he needs to be much more bad-tempered and serious and I doubt the the Riddler and Two-Face would've teamed up because they're two very different villains.
@thundertower Tommy lee Jones's performance in this movie is immense. Have at look at him from 2:54 to 3:39. His mannerisms and speech patterns are almost exactly the same as Heath Ledger's(God rest him) performance of The Joker. I think Tommy's performance was ahead of its time, in the same way that Dalton's performance of Bond was ahead of its time.

This my favorite out of the old Batman movies. I think Val Kilmar was one of the best actors to have ever played Batman, possibly even better then Christian Bale, cuz he didn't have to make his voice sound all raspy and sh*t, Val had the best voice for Batman.

I must admit I would watch this film anytime if it meant that I don't have to watch "Batman and Robin". This is not a great film, but it's at least slightly enjoyable. Prefer the Tim Burton films most of all.

Heath Ledger was brilliant as the joker, (maybe even the best Joker ever) Aaron Eckhart who played Two face in the Dark Knight was way better then Tommy Lee Jones effort. I'll agree with you though Jim CARREY (learn to spell the name right as well twat) did make an excellent Riddler.

@sha69ggy batman is initially a comic. so "forever" sets the tone quite right. I thoroughly enjoy it. batman & robin on the other hand, really sucks!

@sha69ggy Well, I think Val Kilmer did a good job as "Bruce Wayne" and pretty good at playing "Batman". Christian Bale did a pretty good job as "Batman" but I didn't think he did a good job as "Bruce Wayne". Maybe that's what I meant to say initially.

@XBlazingDemonX I agree with you on Val Kilmer playing the Bruce Wayne part alright just not so good at Batman but I blame Joel Schumacher on that for the direction on that (he killed Batman in my opinion). Nah Christian Bale did a superb job on being both Batman & Bruce Wayne

ya i want jim carrey too but i heard that Johny depp was getting seriously considered for the riddler so im not so happy because johnny has that dark movie history like sweeny todd and edward scissor hand but i dont think he has the personality to do the riddler because u need a silly actor like jim

This my favorite out of the old Batman movies. I think Val Kilmar was one of the best actors to have ever played Batman, possibly even better then Christian Bale, cuz he didn't have to make his voice sound all raspy and sh*t, Val had the best voice for Batman.

@PervySage6931 Michael Keaton was by far the best Batman, but this was a fun film also. Batman and Robin was the final nail in the Batcoffin before Nolan resurrected the caped crusader.

I must admit I would watch this film anytime if it meant that I don't have to watch "Batman and Robin". This is not a great film, but it's at least slightly enjoyable. Prefer the Tim Burton films most of all.
