iv had these decks for ages and you can only use a certain virtual dj with the original virtual dj (wich is wat your using) it sais it will only work up too 10 mins and then it will switch off but if you use the virtual dj is asks you too use then it will work fully :/ how do you use the orignal then???

@Robbie535200 u only need a usb soundcard to monitor ur headset cues other than tht u can use the laptop or computors soundcard to output the sound to speakers or a sound system like i do and if u have a sound system u can use the computors sound card to out put volume and use the sound systems to use as headset cues or vice-versa.

You'll also need to buy a USB soundcard for it though.

@doodaboogie Yes! I've had for mine for almost a year now and I still use it! I have real decks now and a real mixer but I still use it to control my loops and effects. It has everything that you need to get started and its really cheap. Definitively worth the buy.

As far as people asking about Virtual DJ, what I did was download a torrent of VJ7 pro. It works perfectly with the mixer and I have had zero problems. Just use bt junkie or pirate bay and u should find it easily.

nice mix! Hercules mp3e2 should come with VDJ (basic or home edition) you do get i think a 10 day trial of VDJ pro. after 10 or so days you can upgrade to pro or carry on using basic/home. Bare in mind pro 7 costs around £250 ish...

@crmt007 Well, depends...this simply plugs into your laptop via USB, and as you can see in this, you can do pretty well with just those things! I believe you can use your internal laptop speaker for this, or, since it uses USB it leaves your headphone socket free so you could listen throught that. If you want to get a bit more complicated, especially if going down the techno route, a keyboard could be helpful. Hope that helps, but I'm not exactly 'pro'!
