The whole fight took me an hour and 10 minutes.

Best hour and 10 minutes ever.

This was such an epic battle (the event, not yours particularly, no offense) that I am actually basing a game music video to HOW I had to push through this one. Note this was the first and only time I used an astral pouch. It might have been a cheap way to regain health but it was needed.

I made the idiot mistake of saving after the shop keeper disappeared. I had to defeat him with 2 of everything except holy bones. I had 12 holy bones. :| Took 2 hours to defeat him but I never died.

I did the same, but luckily i had another game saved with the same old previous data and I stocked up like crazy XD LOL. I defeated the other one, but I finished the one that I stocked up pretty easily.

Hold the R1 button to bring up the drawing board, then hold down square to paint and use the left analog to move the brush. It's not too hard, you'd get used to it after a while.
