@alpimarzi I am in a wheelchair, and find it funny when people try opening doors for me, usually all that happens is, they slow me down. I'm able to open a door at the as speed and with same amount of effort as a 'able body person' Now with that said, there are times I open doors for people even myself. You know.. The actions of other people because of their emotional response to the disability. I have had the most success in dealing with all these issues by treating them as separate issues. Each of the three requiring a different response. These videos address the third group. Avoiding such people works best for me.
I have a terrible back injury that damaged my cioutic nerve and suffer from chronic pain plus with very limited walking strengths when I pull into a gimp parking space (handicap) people see me from the outside and give me those looks as if in their minds nothing is wrong with me I even had people on several occasions ask me to move to allow them to park in that spot’ of course I tell them to go f&*k then selves
But the nerve of people I tell you this country is full of tards.

Reminds me of what people said to my 80 yr. old mom friend when her son was murdered. He was in Who'se Who, then got depressed. Most of those folks were in her church, so she had to stop going for a long time to avoid that. As time goes by, it's easier for her to deal w/it.
When I was in grade 1 I asked a girl who was in 7th grade at my school why she was in a wheelchair. I still feel fucking horrible for asking, but I was 6, and had never met somebody in a wheelchair before. I didn't know if you could be born needing one or what, I thought they were only used in hospitals at that point.

My 16 yr old has classic Kanner's autism and can be noisy with verbal stims. People tend to move away or if they have children they snatch and run. I get the "God has a plan" & "praying for you" as well.

I've worked with disability & if out in the community I've found that whilst accompanying the person in the wheelchair people DON'T address the person in the wheelchair! They completely bypass asking them and as I'm walking upright ask me instead! Reeeaaaallly gets on my Goat! I told him to go politely ask her.. I watched as a question turned into a conversation..
Being disabled frakin sucks. Nobody really cares and there is like this social worth totem pole and being disabled is at the bottom. I have got such chitty treatment because of it. Mostly I get the comments about how inspirational I am. And it is so amazing that I get out and about. They ask if I live alone and how wonderful it is when I say yes. And yes I do get offended if someone does something like opening the door for me. Sometimes I want to put my gloves on before going outside. And sometimes I did not want to go outside at that time. People should ask before doing for others.

I've worked with disability & if out in the community I've found that whilst accompanying the person in the wheelchair people DON'T address the person in the wheelchair! They completely bypass asking them and as I'm walking upright ask me instead! Reeeaaaallly gets on my Goat! It's as if just because the person is physically disabled they have lost all of their mental faculties?! When you're out with Sonia do you find that happening? HASHTAG INFURIATING!

well maybe when they end up all effed up you can ask em if it was for a reason lol show em the way to the subsidized housing office, I broke my back and didnt recover the best now its full of arthritis and I stay in pain 24/7, hips going now too lol life is a bitch and it didnt happen for any reason that I can think of either, my wife is pretty cool too, she dont pity me much and she helps a lot when I cant move and am in such bad pain meds dont do shit anymore, so Im lucky for a good wife too

look at how the "disabled", or as I call it less able, have evolved, advanced, "come out", gained ground and have been made more comfortable with their limits.. technology has brought us devices that make it so they can hear better, get around better, are made more comfortable with their limits.. when my son was 4yrs old he saw a "little person" in a store and said "daddy, why is that lady so short..?" Being disabled frakin sucks. Nobody really cares and there is like this social worth totem pole and being disabled is at the bottom. I have got such chitty treatment because of it.
