Finally! After all the crap the writers dragged his character through last year, Sammy's getting his chance to stand up and be the strong, supportive, hopeful hero that I've always thought he was.

He lost his way in Season 4 but I'm glad to see he's back again, "there's my boy", there's my Sammy.

Now maybe he can help bring up the morale of the rest of Team Free Will, the hopeless hero and the faithless angel.

I am for the brothers whether Dean is punching Sam for nothing and Sam would take the other punch when it makes Dean feel better. The Winchester brothers are the best when they are together and I can`t wait to see it again, but maybe we have to wait till season 6.

The Winchester brothers rocks, but my favourite is an underdog and now the "lone wolf who wants to protect the sheeps"....

This season sucks big time and the writers are too blame for that. In season 3 they called Dean a Dick in YF...and a shortbus...too. Dean isn't perfect....but even Jensen called him a goofball....at one of the cons this year...when A fan asked him to describe Dean. Supernatural ain't what it used to be.

The writers are trashing Sam and Dean...the fans are bashing both Sam and Dean. Sam and Dean are spending too much time fighting....and rumors / spoilers are posting that Castiel will kick Dean's ass....and that Sam and Dean will have another blow out fight scene. EK sent Dean to Hell for ....4 months earth year which ='s 4 years on Hell...then the writers refer to Dean as a DICK and a shortbus in season 3...during the Rubella season.

Sam isn't the hero, he's repenting. trying to make amends, and Dean keeps rejecting him. IMO, it makes sense that Dean feels hurt and betrayed, but not blame-free for what happened between them in S4. Sam isn't the only guilty party. And Sam is trying to rebuild their relationship, while Dean isn't just not meeting him half-way, he's actively retreating.

I'm a Dean girl at heart, but WTF him throwing the amulet totally broke my heart and it makes me so mad it's not even funny.

but what Sam did in season 4 is just not forgivable, Sam trusted Ruby and totally lied to Dean, how the fu*k could Dean rebuild that broken relationship ?!

Sam just pushed his brother away and kept lying and lying till he smashed the relationship with trying to kill him and taking Ruby's side, what should Dean do ?

apologizing is just not enough, and after all that he finds out that Sam's happy memories don't include Dean !!

Per usual they trash Dean in order to build up Sam, especially Julie Siege of Fallen Idols infamy. I hope Julie Siege never finds another writing job again after she is finished with Supernatural. I am so sick of her Dean hate-on. Whereas everything Sam ever does or says is golden or "right" and even when he's wrong he was only doing it for the best possible reasons. They'll be sorry next year when no one wants to watch their show because most people hate their lead characters.

@GizziesGirl2 - As opposed to all the Samhate we had to deal with in season 4? For a novel change, Sam is the only trying to hold things together and sorry if it bugs you that Dean doesn't look great in comparision right now. The series had been revolving solely aroudn Dean and his epic man-pain since Lazerus Rising and it's about time we get some real movement on character development for both Sam and Dean.

in season 4 we had Sam's addiction and Dean trying to deal with that and with his pain, it doesn't make any sense now that Dean is trying to abandon these people !!

@GizziesGirl2 Um,Spn isnt srs bsns.There is no more Dean hate than there is Sam hate.Multiple times this season Sam has been blamed for being the one to start the apocalypse when Dean,Cas & the rest of the angels had a role in it too,and that hasnt made Sam seem right.Maybe this season they are just trying to make the viewers like Sam again after they fucked up his character last year.And hey,even if I hate Sam & Dean by the end of this season,I'll watch next year for my bb Cas.. if he dont die.

Dean is such a loser here....talking BS. The writers have really killed the Dean that I used to love. It amazes me too that Sam has become super Sammy. Seems that not even going near the edge of the darkside or drinking demon blood or having sex last year with a demon....or knowing you are the devil's chosen vessel can bring super Sam down. The guy has strong genes....what can I say.

@Iwiccaozzie they did not kill Dean's character, he's just a little hopeless nowadays, can't say I'm surprised about that. With everything that happened since he went to Hell, till now.

But I'm sure he's gonna be back on his feet sooner or later. We just need to wait and see. The season is not over yet :)

@Scyllaya I agree.Has anyone watched a movie or read a book where the hero loses faith, thinks that all is lost but then finds redemption? Well, that's what's happened to Sam and I don't begrudge him a little hope.Maybe he can now find enough hope to help Dean find his mojo again.I wouldn't bet against him!!
