@aFedosov Delta doesnt survive the shot to the head in the beginning cutscene in Bioshock 2. He dies and he is brought back to life from a vita chamber by one of the little sisters who was told to do so by the girl who was originally assigned your little sister (Elenor). You are mistaken.... the plane crash was real. The brainwash was when jack opened the package at the coardinates on the package. The package had a gun in it, and he killed the pilots and crashed the plane right above Rapture.

It has been a couple years after the first bioshock so you have to take into account of currents, storms, errosion and such that could have moved the plane.

You must remember this isnt in some swimming pool, this is out in the middle of the ocean and storms can cause things to be moved MILES away from where they were originally.Plus like you said it was stuck in a walkway, when it falls out it could be easily pushed somewhere.
ok i know this has nothing to do with this. in bioshock 2 in the middle of the game there is a audio diary from Gil. Alexander saying that the alpha series were getting to attached to the little sisters and that he actually saw one crying near a gatherers garden crying. @pegusus0083 The first cinematic in Bioshock 2 is two years before Bioshock, and everything else in the game is after Bioshock. Andrew Ryan is dead in Bioshock 2 so in Bioshock you killed him with a golf club. Also the Rapture world evolved much in the time period difference from Bioshock and Bioshock 2 ( enemies, landscape, people, ext).
Why does Frank Fontaine tell you to kill Andrew Ryan when he knows that his own (Frank Fontaine's) family is captured and trapped in a Bathysphere and would explode if Andrew Ryan was killed? If he doesn't care about his family, why start one?
@usernameruss Frank Fontaine never had a family, he was using that as a way to make you trust him throughout the story. He knew about the mind control he could use on you but he thought it would be better to have a little story to go along with it to make things go smoother. Hope that explains it.

Bioshock 2 INTRO is 2 years before Jack came and killed Andrew Ryan. When you play the game, its 8 years AFTER Jack came. If you look around Rapture in BioShock 2, you find a voice recording of Frank Fontaine practicing his Atlas voice and talking about how Jack is boarding his flight right now. I also hear, that Jack was turned into a man within 2 weeks through the rapid process of being injected with Adam. So, he was technically 2 weeks old, with probably 30 years of memories in his head.
So if Jack was brainwashed when he was a baby and all these memories about a farm and a family from bioshock 1 were simply implanted by Suchong and Tenenbaum, then how/why was Jack out of Rapture and flying in a plane to begin with?

they sent jack to the surface to high jack a plane cause fontaine needed him to stay there until a year or so then return to rapture and kill ryan without suspicion or detection and then come back.
cause if he sent jack too early for the assassination, ryan would have more easily anticipated this from fountaine and so he was patient for a year to get the trail off his untimely death by the fertilized egg by ryan and the dancer.

@Donkeykong1126 the plane crash actually happened because that is the only way Jack could get back to rapture. Everything in the intro happened just that he didnt know what he was doing because of the implant of the phrase "Would you kindly?" hope that clears it up.

Later in the game when you realise that Ryan was manipulating you, you get a flashback for a second that shows the note on the present at the beggining of the game that says something like "would you kindly not open untill" then the coordinates of the entrance to Rapture. Inside of the present was a revolver, I believe, and Jack hijacked the plane in order to crash it near the entrance to Rapture. Hope this helped! ;D

So how can Andrew Ryan come alive in number 1 and then be dead 2 years before..... The begining of Bioshock 2 starts of 2 years but thats a ciniematic,Everything after that is after Bioshock 1. @TheDXruler yes and it is a possibility over the years it was there it got pushed out of the walkway and down to ontop of the moutain you see there. It has been a couple years after the first bioshock so you have to take into account of currents, storms, errosion and such that could have moved the plane.

@TheDXruler yes but like i have said before this is MANY YEARS after the first Bioshock so there must have been storms, currents, errosion, or even sealife that could have pushed and or moved the plane to another location. You must remember this isnt in some swimming pool, this is out in the middle of the ocean and storms can cause things to be moved MILES away from where they were originally.Plus like you said it was stuck in a walkway, when it falls out it could be easily pushed somewhere.

ok i know this has nothing to do with this. in bioshock 2 in the middle of the game there is a audio diary from Gil. Alexander saying that the alpha series were getting to attached to the little sisters and that he actually saw one crying near a gatherers garden crying. That alpha is delta in the first cutscene crying. Thanks for reading

@pegusus0083 The first cinematic in Bioshock 2 is two years before Bioshock, and everything else in the game is after Bioshock. Andrew Ryan is dead in Bioshock 2 so in Bioshock you killed him with a golf club. Also the Rapture world evolved much in the time period difference from Bioshock and Bioshock 2 ( enemies, landscape, people, ext).

Why does Frank Fontaine tell you to kill Andrew Ryan when he knows that his own (Frank Fontaine's) family is captured and trapped in a Bathysphere and would explode if Andrew Ryan was killed? If he doesn't care about his family, why start one?

@usernameruss Frank Fontaine never had a family, he was using that as a way to make you trust him throughout the story. He knew about the mind control he could use on you but he thought it would be better to have a little story to go along with it to make things go smoother. Hope that explains it.

Bioshock 2 INTRO is 2 years before Jack came and killed Andrew Ryan. When you play the game, its 8 years AFTER Jack came. If you look around Rapture in BioShock 2, you find a voice recording of Frank Fontaine practicing his Atlas voice and talking about how Jack is boarding his flight right now. I also hear, that Jack was turned into a man within 2 weeks through the rapid process of being injected with Adam. So, he was technically 2 weeks old, with probably 30 years of memories in his head.

they sent jack to the surface to high jack a plane cause fontaine needed him to stay there until a year or so then return to rapture and kill ryan without suspicion or detection and then come back.
cause if he sent jack too early for the assassination, ryan would have more easily anticipated this from fountaine and so he was patient for a year to get the trail off his untimely death by the fertilized egg by ryan and the dancer.
so...yeah pretty fucked up way to gain power.

@hende911 this take 1969 Jacks plane crashed in 1960 they did send him away in a bathesphere when Jack was two. He did grow up on a farm and did grow up with farmers. He was then later called back by Fontaine/Atlas. Suschong placed the boundaries in his head before he was sent away to the surface.

@hende911 I think I can clear it up, basically Fontaine had Jack sent to the surface where Ryan wouldn't be able to get to him, and when the war between Ryan and "Atlas" comes to a stalemate Fontaine used the trigger phrase would you kindly to get Jack to board and Hijack a plane to crash over Rapture just so he (jack) could Kill Ryan for Fontaine. Fontaine said Jack was like and Insurance policy or his "ace in the Hole".

@hende911 Jack was programmed to be a sleeper agent. He was taken from Andrew Ryan's mistress and artificially aged and programmed. He was programmed to do whatever he was told as long as someone said "Would you kindly?" That's why Fontaine was able to control him. In reality, Jack is only 4 years old. When he was activated, he was programmed to book a flight that would go over Rapture. In one of Fontaine/Atlas' Audio logs, he mentions that his ace in the hole is probably booking his flight.

@Donkeykong1126 the plane crash actually happened because that is the only way Jack could get back to rapture. Everything in the intro happened just that he didnt know what he was doing because of the implant of the phrase "Would you kindly?" hope that clears it up.

@Donkeykong1126 *SPOILER ALERT* He actually caused the plane crash. Later in the game when you realise that Ryan was manipulating you, you get a flashback for a second that shows the note on the present at the beggining of the game that says something like "would you kindly not open untill" then the coordinates of the entrance to Rapture. Inside of the present was a revolver, I believe, and Jack hijacked the plane in order to crash it near the entrance to Rapture. Hope this helped! ;D

The music makes this easter egg kind of sad and eerie, when you realize what Jack was forced to do to get to Rapture.
It's also sad to be in Rapture 10 years after the fact, see a Big Daddy and Little Sister walking around, and see that Rapture hasn't changed one bit. =\ Man, the Bioshock games are depressing.
