It doesn't have to be set up like that. Most lottery tickets are bought by idiots who failed math in school and are poor. So naturally the winner of a lottery is likely to be a poor idiot with some stupid explanation for how they won. "Psychics" probably don't play the lottery much because most of them know they are frauds, but the typical winner says they counted magic cat turds or whatever to get the numbers.

the hush hush is pretty clever. They get the credit for giving away money even if they havent given away a dime. and they can sell books and recruit others into thier psychic bullshit. Its a clever scam and a great way to make more money off a sheer lucky stroke. The idiot media buys it up and advertises for free for them.

What reason is there to say that they gave money if not to abtain credit for thier deeds and then if they sought credit and made the donations then they can say to who and where the donations were made. There is no reason to go about anoyominity half assed unless there is other motives.
