most shotguns that come out of the box will not cycle or will fail to eject there not necesarily made to shoot right out of the box when you get your new stoeger or any new semi auto shotgun is take it apart clean it and oil it that will obviously help with the cycling processes and what not and move the action back and forth sixty of a hundred times to loosen and break it in then shoot like four boxes of some 3 inch duck or goose loads and it will be ready to go
I just got this gun yesterday and it has some failures to eject at times, i see where people say it has to be broken in. about how many shots qualifies as "broken in"?
Ugh..you most definitely don't have to break it in with heavy shot!!! YOU SHOULD BE BREAKING IT IN WITH LIGHT LOADS!!! Light pheasant loads are the only loads that it will not function flawlessly when it comes out of the box.
i sent my 2000 back to be fixed 7 weeks ago...they told me yesterday itll be 2 more weeks. i see where a lot of folks have had to send theirs back, and it still doesnt work when its returned to them. mines for sale the day i get it back...
I got one a year or two ago and fricken abused the thing and only had 2 problems with it. both were problems loading due to a dirty action(my fault) stripped it down in the field, wiped it down with a clean shirt and that ended the problem. I LOVE THIS GUN.
@KevinstheKingofKings yeah i agree plus when you first get it you should strip the packing grease off it and re oil it. I Love mine

Nickkrete is wrong... Heavy loads are the best way to break in a shotgun. Any manufacturer's literature will say so.

It says in the user manual that you should use heavier loads, you weren't by any chance using light loads, were you?

I'd recommend cleaning it first as M2000s are packed in cosmoline and MUST be STRIPPED DOWN 100% and cleaned dry, then lubricated.
