  • @KevinstheKingofKings yeah i agree plus when you first get it you should strip the packing grease off it and re oil it. I Love mine

  • most shotguns that come out of the box will not cycle or will fail to eject there not necesarily made to shoot right out of the box when you get your new stoeger or any new semi auto shotgun is take it apart clean it and oil it that will obviously help with the cycling processes and what not and move the action back and forth sixty of a hundred times to loosen and break it in then shoot like four boxes of some 3 inch duck or goose loads and it will be ready to go

  • heavy loads is best way to break in your new girlfriend too....just saying.

  • Nickkrete is wrong... Heavy loads are the best way to break in a shotgun. Any manufacturer's literature will say so.

  • will this gun cycle 7/8 oz. loads?

  • I just got this gun yesterday and it has some failures to eject at times, i see where people say it has to be broken in. about how many shots qualifies as "broken in"?

  • It says in the user manual that you should use heavier loads, you weren't by any chance using light loads, were you?

  • stougers page says 100-200 shots to break it in. seems like alot but they outta know

  • Well a friend of the family just got one yesterday and he said the dealer told him 300 rounds to break it in...thats alot of dough right there.

  • Ugh..you most definitely don't have to break it in with heavy shot!!! YOU SHOULD BE BREAKING IT IN WITH LIGHT LOADS!!! Light pheasant loads are the only loads that it will not function flawlessly when it comes out of the box.

  • I love this shotgun it awsome you should get it.

  • i sent my 2000 back to be fixed 7 weeks ago...they told me yesterday itll be 2 more weeks. i see where a lot of folks have had to send theirs back, and it still doesnt work when its returned to them. mines for sale the day i get it back...

  • i have this gun. DO NOT BUY IT. it mis-fires. mine is practically brand new, im very dissapointed. im returning it.

  • really eh? good to know thanks

  • I'd recommend cleaning it first as M2000s are packed in cosmoline and MUST be STRIPPED DOWN 100% and cleaned dry, then lubricated.

  • I got one a year or two ago and fricken abused the thing and only had 2 problems with it. both were problems loading due to a dirty action(my fault) stripped it down in the field, wiped it down with a clean shirt and that ended the problem. I LOVE THIS GUN.

  • hey, i was thinking of buying this shotgun.. i just want to know if stoeger is a good company and if this shotgun is reliable/ good handling?

  • when i got the shotgun they told me it was one of the most popular gun out there and it was reliable and it is good handling.

  • @rassi13 stoeger is owned by benelli so that says a lot right there
