If you have watched the reenactment of the real Buddha's life, there is one scene that Buddha tried to starve himself for less than a month then collapsed but luckily someone found and fed him. A few posts asserted that the Buddha cannot reincarnate, having completed his round of births and deaths. I feel this only refers to births and deaths driven by karma, which Buddha did exhaust. However, I do feel that Buddha can voluntarily choose reincarnation out of compassion for others. Parinirvana does not limit a Buddha from doing this. Whether or not Palden is a reincarnation the Buddha, he seems to be living a worthwhile life and has compassion for sentient beings, including animals.

According to Buddhism, Buddha will never reincarnate.
I myself have read articles and watched the interview (interpreted). It was clear he said do not compare me with Buddha for he, the Buddha, is the enlightened, the pure. (so forth)
It's people who misunderstood him. The most likely possibilities are that
1) he is the hermit who succeeds refined meditation.
2) he is "Asekha" or the people who became pure and enlightened (but not called Buddha)
3) he is the Buddha to be in some following era

Siddharta acheived Mahaparanirvana and left samsara altogether, so its not a reincarnation of the Buddha we see in this video but merely one who is striving for ultimate enlightenment. Remember, it is harder to stay enlightened than become enlightened :-)

He obviously has reached enlightenment by now. He was born with divine powers, he learned so much so young that many never learn in a lifetime! And the touch is divine, any monk/ Buddhist that has reached the enlightenment level is considered divine.

Most serious meditator will experience this state after many years of meditation. It is a very peaceful and out of the world feeling.

three years without food and water? only fools believe on this. Not even the real Buddha did this. If you have watched the reenactment of the real Buddha's life, there is one scene that Buddha tried to starve himself for less than a month then collapsed but luckily someone found and fed him. Then Buddha realized that TOO MUCH self-sacrifice/happiness cannot enlighten your mind. The longest starvation of Buddha was only about about a week then after that, he was fully enlightened.

Buddha Shakyamuni (Gautama Buddha) was a Buddha long before he came back as Siddhartha Gautama. The same is true for the three Buddhas before him and the many to come after him.

Once a human becomes a Buddha, he will not be reborn again. He will enter Parinabbana where this is an eternal and blissful mental state without a gross physical body. The Buddha claimed that everyone of us has the Buddha nature. With effort, determination, wisdom, calm, concentration, energy and compassion we can attain that state as well. Unfortunately, only few can make it. To be a Buddha one has to posses the 9 qualities of a Buddha.
