OK... talk about a useless hack. Even most 2G cell phones use some sort of USB plug for the charger. All you need to do is buy a compatible USB cable. By doing a search for my phone's manufacturer and model number, I was able to find an already-made charging cable which is compatible with the model which costs under $2.

It's not even like it's a time issue. My phone was bought something like 4 years ago, around the same time this video was made if a bit later. By then, USB was in every phone.

it will probably work, but I guess it´s not the best for the battery of the phone. usb provides V, the cellphone is working with 3,2V or somethin. The normal chargers have an overcharge protection.
