This awesome band's 1st single from 1967!and featuring the reknowned Judy Dyble! This song wasn't on their debut album. The b-side "If (Stomp)" was. This song is on the fab cd reissue of the 1st album. The BBC Sessions version is good, too. he early Farport, both on studio recordings & those recordings from the BBC are some of the best British music of the late 1960s.I love early Fairport. They were soooo good!!!
Wonderful tune! I love the touch of psychedelic influence. I normally don't like to draw comparisons in music, but the music being produced in Britain in the 60s was far more mature and advanced than that of the US. The late 60s are my favorite era for music; '67 in particular. Thanks for sharing your wonder presentations.
I feel the same way as you do. If you like this song, check out the Fairport's fab debut album reissued on cd with some extra tracks as well as their BBC recordings on a box set. I like all of their early stuff with both Judy and Sandy and some of their 70s stuff too. The music of this era (circa '67) is priceless.
Judy was the best!!

I've got this on a "Rare Tracks" tape that was probably purchased in the mid 70's. It's the only song I like on it!

The lady in the photos is Sandy Denny, not the singer here who is Judy Dyble.
