He also makes the mistake of stating that worldwide temperatures were higher in the 1930s than they are today. This is false and I'm fairly certain he knows he's lying. The only area of the world that was as warm in the 1930s as today is the US. This is because the jet stream changed direction from blowing across US to completely bypassing it which brought drought and dryness. This was a time known as the Dust Bowl and was most likely caused by colder Arctic currents meeting warmer currents.
I agree that his arguments are flawed. For one, he is looking at the effect for the cause of the warming in the past and not looking at the actual cause when dealing with ice core data over the past many thousands of years. The causes may be solar output or oscillatory patterns but they may also be due to greenhouse gasses, such as that of the Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum and the increase of temps and subsequent mass extinction that occurred as a result.
These arguments are flawed. I have seen, for example, that he omits the last 60 years from the solar activity vs Arctic temperature chart - because the go in opposite directions. The other part, the coincides, is a coincidence.
Carbon can trail warming, but mathematical modeling based on the known laws of thermodynamics and related physical principles, indicate that the trailing portion of the CO2 change is only a relatively small part of the overall CO2 change. The scientists aren't stupid!
I like how uses the IPCC graph from 20 years ago which has since been revised and turned into the "Hockey Stick".
