@tamerswan good find, rockin rod's old mate. among others.symbol of a woman? what if the guitarist is also a woman? this sounds good though. gibson les paul of course. i like the epiphones just as well, les moved over there years ago anyway.
Hi All, The guitar on this track IS the original guitar that played all the Bowie recordings. If you listen you can tell simply by the tone!. The amp was a Mesa Boggie Mark I Combo with the wicker grill. If you go to the Ronson web site & click on band of 76 you'll see photo's of said amp & its the one on the track & THE guitar. Its now owned by a private collector & can some times be seen at the R-N-R hall of fame. Cheers to all Thank You Suffragete!! Bobby Chen drums on Just Like This CD
lol...me too.....totally agree.....i post this on my FB page once a week....people just gotta here his stuff. LOVE the solo....friggin feel or what?....
@southpawslide LOL...yeah, I got it on fb also...it's very powerful, he really got all out of his Les Paul...and besides, with Ian Hunter...beautiful music...get me on fb under Hynek Cesany if you want :-)) Take care
Joe Elliot just played this on Planet Rock, here in the uk. What a stunning song! The lead break is to die for! Mick was a superb player! RIP Mick... \m/
Wow! this is 1st time ive heard this song. Have now listend to it 5 times in a row! He is such a great guitar player, his playing takes the listener to a very special place. Damn I miss this guy.
For those of you asking, this track is on the album 'Just Like This' officially released in 1999. It's also on the live collection album 'Showtime'. For more Ronson info just Google 'Mick Ronson Discography'.
Man, could he ever play a guitar! Listening to this, I almost forget to breath, it is that compelling. Gorgeous song. One of the BEST guitarist of all-time. You are always missed back in the mortal world, Mick.
....I always felt that if any other manager but Tony DeFreis had been involved with Ronno he could have been a superstar .....Bowie kicked him [ Defreis] into touch , and went on to produce some great stuff that found an audience ....
WOW ! Have you ever heard the song' MAKING LOVE TO MICK RONSONS GUITAR' by Anthony Albert ? Ronno was in an elite group ! My all time fave-along with Johnny Thunders and James Williamson !!!
Have absolutely always loved Mick from the early 70's till today he was a right good bloke! Never heard a bad comment and everyone loves him.Mick probably has the most loyal fans of anyone and that just shows how special he really was.He was the best on and off the stage.Glad there is alot of material to listen to.I'll never get tired of hearing Mick play!He was in a class all his own.
I can't talk; I can't move... What just happened at 3:10? Holy fuck.....

underrated is an overrated term in music. Horses and football players are rated.
How rated do you think Mick Ronson needs to be. Seriously?

God I miss Ronson! So underated and under appreciated. Sad, thats his legacy, after launching Bowie into Rock God status.
