Idiot Paul runs under the banner of the most fascist party our country's ever seen and you people think any revolution he creates will be any better than what we have now? Fools.
There's a minority of closet 'pro-war' support for Mccain. There was very little 'visible' support for him at my precinct. Many precincts, mine included, are sending a majority of RP delegates on despite the opposition. It'll be a noble act for delegates to stay committed as far as they can carry the message through the process. After all, what are we gonna do, switch to McCain? We ARE who we represent. Let's make that very clear at convention.
In the beginning of his campaign the media gave him very little coverage. I think the only reason they even gave him that was they thought he would go away, when that did`nt happen and his support grew stronger the so called media totally blacked him out.WE WILL NOT GO AWAY EITHER!!!!This revolution should not lose momentum it gives me hope.Support Ron Paul and keep this going see you in D.C.
Let's keep this movement together people. The Neocon trolls are really ramping up their efforts on here and we need to show them we won't back down and not be confused or discouraged by their efforts. WE CAN NOT BACK DOWN TO THE NEOCONS! RON PAUL 2008!!!
Joe and Jane are the, always coveted, 'swing vote'. They usually determining the outcome of many elections. The vote-O-matic machines would be smokin' if enough people got behind the right candidate.
Folks vote their pocketbooks...it's an old addage. The more the dollar declines, the more average Joe and Jane American will feel their security threatened.
These eight months running up to elections could see some curious 'change' in a very large sector of our population.
"Achievement of your happiness is the only moral purpose of your life, and that happiness, not pain or mindless self-indulgence, is the proof of your moral integrity, since it is the proof and the result of your loyalty to the achievement of your values. "
It is our job as Ron Paul Republicans to continue this revolution. In four years when things have gotten much worse the country will be looking to us to save the Republic. We need to start to move into position now, revolutions take time and perseverance. I'm going to be a delegate here in VA. Also please check out Dr. Murray Sabrin, candidate for US Senate in NJ. He is friends with, and endorsed by, Ron Paul. One senate seat can make a big difference and this guy will help stop the insanity.
There's about 20% closet 'cement head' support for Mccain. Zero 'visible' support for him at my precinct where I 'used the machine'. The 'Hac-A-Votes' spit out whatever they're programmed to. Many precincts are sending a majority of Paul delegates on, despite the opposition. It'll be a noble act for delegates to stay committed as far as they can carry the message. After all, what are we gonna do, switch to McCain? Their pants are already in a wad, let's keep 'em that way!
I turned 40 today - I'm making a 40 year commitment to local politics - that is where Ron Paul needs us all to be, where we need ourselves to be, for freedom and liberty and those unalienable rights to be protected - compassionately and logically. The principles can not be debated - as Ron as said, he may have his own flaws, but the message doesn't. It's common sense! And I'm writing in Ron Paul for president if I have to - I don't think I'll have to, though. This campaign isn't over.
im 15 years old and i can even see that the only good canaidate for prsident is ron paul. americans are so stupid voting for hilary clinton, borock obama, mccain. we are goin to have a horrible president. im so dissapointed in the americans for voting for canidates other than ron paul. the american people are going to have to go through 8 more years of a communist, war ragging president!
Change will only come with effective election reform and when we abolish the strangle hold of the two party system.People from many parties and groups need to join in a common goal-to take America back.
Looked like the scene outside many of the Texas precincts last Tuesday. Not one sign, or show of support, for McCain...not one. We are convention bound!
True that! Anyone who thinks McCain already officially has the nomination is crazy!
The nominee is voted for at the National Convention. Oh, and the voters are the delegates. So, to the National Convention!
Lincoln won the Rep. Nomination going into the National Convention with only 22 delegates. Once there, all the delegates can be released to vote for who ever they want..RON PAUL!!!
Except that they've pledged their votes to the candidate who won them. Based on popular support by the body politic.
Ron Paul will not win the nomination, he will certainly not pull any sort of upset at the RNC, and any attempt to do so would simply be another wound upon the democratic process that so many of you claim to uphold.
If it was up to me, I'd pick Mike Gravel or Ron Paul. The others just puke politic-rhetoric crap on the masses *shudder*. In a near future people will look back at this election and laugh! ...Pathetic!
We have all been working hard, blogs, videos, campaigning, donating and supporting this Revolution that you began over 1 year ago. And now we're waiting. We're waiting for you to continue the campaign.
You have secured your House seat. In Texas you can run for President and Congress at the same time. So let's go!
Please join with former Rep. Bob Barr. America needs Paul for Pres. and Barr for VP on the Libertarian Party ticket in Nov.
Ron Paul should stay a Republican and we'll work all year on a write-in campaign - the Libertarian ticket or an Independent ticket is not the way to go - too much time/money/resources have been used in those arenas and we do not have another 30 years to play with here. We need to take the Republican party back. Now. And we are.
if he got enough of the electoral votes AND got the popular votes via write in, it can be done. Enough states allow write in candidates for it to be possible. He should stay Republican. A lot of the Republicans are open to logical discussion and debate on the issues, and the neocon mentality is easily proven to be inaccurate, unsustainable, fiscally irresponsible and unconstitutional. Most Republicans, once they have all of the facts, would do the right thing.
no problem; we find out the exact rules for each state and make a website outlining the varying write-in criteria, with a printable pdf to give to voters by state- we have until November, I think it can be done. I like this 'if' better than a Libertarian run- Besides, he can't change parties now or he'll lose his congressional seat that he just secured, should he not win the presidential election, no? (can you change parties after you are elected?)
five states -- Hawaii, Nevada, South Dakota, Oklahoma, and South Carolina -- don't allow any Presidential write-ins, and never have. Louisiana, the sixth no-write-in state, got rid of them in 1975 after it adopted a system in which anyone could get on the regular ballot, regardless of party affiliation. "The Supreme Court upheld Louisiana's ban on write-ins in 1992" says Richard Winger, of Ballot Access News, a San Francisco-based group that works to make ballots nonpartisan.
The Presidential election is actually a group of simultaneous state elections for Electors held state by state.
So, Ron Paul can continue his campaign for the House as a Republican, and run as a Libertarian for President.
The only state where he could have a problem is Texas, but the LBJ law allows a TX candidate to run for House or Senate and President or VP at the same time.
If there is a party restriction, Ron Paul can be replaced by a stand in candidate for President in Texas only.
AMEN! YOU ARE RIGHT! to hell with R's. I went to a local committee meeting last night and left disgusted they said, "it is time for our party to unite and back McCain!" No Thanks!
The Ron Paul Revolution Principled and in full command No question on what is his stand For a noble record does define His position over trial and time US Constitution a guidepost need it be Holding to our freedom and liberty A gold standard to assure Prosperity earned shall endure Ron Paul who stands in good stead Truth and forbearance be his creed America is calling for solution And the Ron Paul Revolution.
What about if we get 200 000 Ron Paul supporters to donate $375 bucks each, which would equal $75 MILLION. We will create 75 Million DVD's, (which inform the public on Why Ron Paul needs to become President) one for each American household. Then all we have to do is hand the DVD's out, and convince our peers to watch it. The DVD will sell Ron Paul for us. We need a massive money to get the possible 3rd party run under way.
I want Ron 4 President more than I can afford, however, The People that the constitution was written for are not yet convinced. That is the problem. Youtube, unfortunately, is not solution (not entirely anyways). Can the great minds come together and think of the solution?

We have to do our part in this revolution. We have to become honest leaders in our respective communities. Ron Paul is only one person and he depends on us. I have written an article that would benefit Ron Paul's revolution exponentially if published nationally; all intellectual individuals of our society should read it.
You dont see other candidates having rallys or marches with this kind of support. We should demand recounts for all states showing voter fraud. Just as blackbox predicted, the voting results have been inaccurate and give McCain the win in every county in every state since January even when the paper ballots prove he did not win. Ron Paul, The only hope for America Ron Paul Believers, get out and encourage like minded people to run for your state and federal offices, someone who will support the constitution and "We the people." Someone who will recommend an article 5 constitutional convention Ron Paul write-in campaign, check with your state about getting Dr. Paul as a write in. be sure to spread the word about Dr. Paul.

Many states do not allow write-in votes for President: no way to do it.
Other states just don't count the write-in votes.
The only way to get the votes counted is to be on the ballot. The only way to maximize the count is for Ron Paul to RUN!
The Republican Party is dominated by a clique of insiders. It is controlled by neocons.
The way to change America is to walk out of this archaic old party.
Just as Lincoln smashed the Whigs, we must smash the R party and set America free!

Your "IF" is the problem:
1) Some states don't allow write-ins.
2) Many states won't count them unless Dr. Paul registers as an official candidate. If he's going to do that he has to keep running anyway.
3) If you write in "Ron Paul" in a state that requires "Ronald Paul" or middle initial etc. the vote won't count even if they count write-ins.
The final result will not be a victory but embarassment. Dr. Paul with a scatering of write-ins will give the pundits one more chance to laugh.
