it usually takes centers 3-5 years to get a handle on how to play in the nba.
the learning curve is much higher than that of a guard. (unless your name is chamberlain or alcinder)
should be fun watching bynum and oden open the season tonight, but i really doubt that either player lives up to their hype this year.
lakers made the finals without bynum, they don't need 20/20 games from him and he's never given them that anyway.

he seems to move a bit sluggishly..maybe because of his knee? hopefully he can be as explosive as dwight when the knee is 100%. im excited for the him and all the other young centers today. its fun to watch a dominant big man.

NBA rules state that regardless of what year you are drafted, until you play, you're still a rookie. So yes, he was drafted in 07' but because he didn't play a single game, he's still technically a rookie and thus elligible for the Rookie game and Rookie of the year awards.

How is Oden overrated. We think he's gonna be a big guy down in the paint & get alot of easy dunks & shots. And also play good Defense, & so far he looks like what we expected, so how is that overrated. He's just dunkimg all over the place doing what we thought & new he would do.
