@DEANWARREN43 It has seen its better days almost time for a new one now. Not sure wear you live but during summer months tractor supply company sell decorative ones. They also have a web site.
How do you use this material and still keep the project cost-effective? It seems like the landscape fabric will take quite a bit out of the benefit of the vegetables.
hey nice garden..check my video out in ym channel and i thought i was doing well! i need to go back to the drawing board i think...lol. well i am only 23! cut me some slack.
Wow, nice garden plot. May I ask why your hills are so large? Perhaps most people do it this way, but to me, a novice, they seem much larger than others I have seen.
It makes it easier to harvest, I dont have to bend down as far. Also this way I know I am not walking on any of the growing surface which helps so it doesnt pack down. I can get away with only rototilling every 2 years this way. The ground stays soft.
@scarcherpilot Always use the plant beds deep and wide. This is always a must for the roots to flourish so It can support a larger plant as well as keep more air in the soils and moisture in there too. Imagine a house planting a small pot do you think it will keep growing larger? that is also another good point.
@deathmarch5 Good to know...I have started incorporating them in my garden now, although not quite as large. My plants seem to be flourishing more as a result. Thanks for the insight!
its called landscape fabric. the fabric is not expensive at all comes in different grades and prices around $20 for a 3x100 foot roll.the soil has been there for over 30 years i just ad more compost and fertilizers every year to ad organic matter.thanks for the questions and the comment.
the mulch is compost. The weed blocker only lasts one year. so i start over every year garden gets rototillied every sprig everything gets mixed except the fabric which i throw away.
