Marvel's live action movies are better, that's it. DC rules on TV and direct to DVD's.

This movie was amazing, and I'm a hard critic when it comes to X-Men in particular (X3 we do not speak of). And as for the whole Marvel/DC thing... there really is no contest. Marvel is CLEARLY better. My friend always teases me that they're in with Disney now, but I always respond with: "Yeah? Well at least Marvel has more than three main superheroes. And their stories are way better."

Iron Man is still the best out of all the comics that was made into films....dark knight is overrated...media played too much interest on heath ledger just cuz he died...Robert Downey Jr. is much much better than the Joker...Jack Nicholson was a better Joker than Heath Ledger, not that Heath was bad...but its not as good as people made out to be...however, this is my opinion

I think Heath's part in TDK is overrated. But the movie itself is still one of the best imo. Iron Man might be more entertaining but it lacks substance (particularly IM2).

The plot balanced out so many threads, so many characters giving us really good versions of practically everyone. Harvey Dent and his character arc makes The Dark Knight great. Other superhero movies haven't crossed the line of killing the love interest either. TDK never had a dull moment imo and it's a long flick!

@IKhanakaInKh Traditionally it's been the other way around. Marvel is known for it's darker, brooding and angsty characters that are more relatable. DC's heroes are someone people can aspire to.

The people of DCU tend to root for their heroes whereas Marvel's people turn on the heroes at the first sign of trouble. With the New 52 it's been changed but traditionally it's been quite the opposite of your oppinion. Just saying.

Rorschach isn't in the regular DC Universe. Watchmen is a totally separate universe. And Batman is darker, but Superman's total excess of good kinda screws that one over. But Marvel then has people like Magneto, Wolverine, Punisher, and Deadpool. They are all darker than Batman. Just because Magneto has a brighter costume (purple, a royal color, showing his desire to rule the future mutants, red, the blood he will spill of the humans) doesn't mean he isn't darker.
