  • theres good and bad on all the islands but tenerife is the best out of them all by far.

  • i've been there. it's an awesome place! reccomend to everybody!

  • sad ignorant people that judge an island on a 200m strip of bars. fantastic place, volcanoes, whales and dolphins, great restuarants, friendly people. Try it before you knock it

  • My wife and I had a wonderful, resplendent time here in November 2011. The sea was blue, the sand was white and the weather was superb, then some greasy dago coont nicked her purse and fooked it all up.

  • @tenodogblu a was there november ,those bastards ruin the place

  • Was a beautifull place away from the crowds as i am disabled there was plenty for me, only complaint was the hotel Columbus what a dirty filthy room, bathroom had hairs left from other people floor not washed and hair in fridge which hadent been cleaned out and the floors were a disgrace, i payed enough for my holiday and .

  • Mallorca is so much better!

  • @AbsolutelyMyself100 That is obviously a subjective point of view. Playa de Las Americas in no more representative of Tenerife as a whole than Magaluf is of Majorca. Everywhere has it's tourist areas. I wouldn't consider Blackpool is representative of the whole of England, yet some people think it's great and some hate it. Tenerife is a stunningly beautiful island but you have to get away from the tourist strip to appreciate it. It gets cold in Majorca in winter too!

  • @cyberhiker1 obviously a subjective point of view....i came back from 2 weeks ago and it was awesome, great landscapes, night life etc. From what i saw on this video and others about Tenerife i was dissapointed...but again ,it's just me:)

  • it nothing but a shit hole and i will never return FACT the worst holiday i have ever been on !!!

  • @b4mb4m100 Don't think Judith Chalmers has much to worry about!

  • This is such a auful place. Terrible. Imported sand from the Sahara, fake aztec statues and fat tattooed lobster-coloured northern Europeans everywhere. A disgrace to the lovely island of Tenerife. Can't believe people actually go there. I stayed here 1 night and was welcomed at the hotel with a forcefull-company-smile who didn't even greet in spanish. The "real" people live in the north. After an uneatable mass-production buffet the next morning I left in a rush. Never will I return.

  • @vampirotufus LOL! It certainly isn't every ones idea of a holiday but there are an awful lot of people who love the place. Can't say it's my idea of heaven but each to their own.

  • @cyberhiker1 Good comment and I agree entirely, we were there in May and enjoyed the holiday.

  • @cyberhiker1 i LOVED tenerife!!! i miss it sooo much!

  • From about 3:50, some of the hotels in this area include, Columbus, Oro Negro, Paraiso del Sol, Sol Tenerife, Palm Beach, Hotel Hisperia Troya, Hacienda del Sol, Hotel Gran tinerfe H10, Hotel Gala...... Around Veronicas it can get a bit wild at night, Hotels Gala and Hisperia Troya open right on to the clubbing area. .... beach is Playa de Troya, and is ok, say 60%.

  • just got back from 7 days in pdla... still as good as ever, cant wait till i return in november. in fact i think it gets better every year...

  • @ahknanowt i'm going in mid-Nov 2011 (3 wks time) .... my 5th time, cant wait

  • 4:20 to 4:24 do not eat here, you will regret it! nice video.

  • @myloisalegend yup :L agreed

  • Ahh man i wish i could revisit teneriffe again!!! Sometimes it makes me so depressed i want to die!I WANT TO GO BACK TO COMPOSTELA BEACH!

  • Thanks for taking the time to make & post this vid - I've read reviews stating Playa de las Americas has slipped in the last year or two, what do you think?

  • @Arai64 If you are referring to the number of tourists visiting then yes I agree, it has slipped recently. I think this is due to the recession and the euro.

  • @cyberhiker1 Yes that's certainly the case throughout the Balearics too, last year anyway.

But what I'd read in the reviews was that standards themselves had slipped in Playa de Las Americas, people stating that it's not what it was.

I'm there last week May, 1st week June, so we'll see.

Really enjoyed your vid - thanks.
