Yeah, I noticed that after my third play through. But how did they do it....

Hull blox start with properties of immobile blox.

But when half of the hull blox are destroyed, the other half "goes limp" and they become like normal multi-hit vanish blox.

I used this technique a lot in Epic Fail 3 (like the very first part, and the underwater Rube Goldberg).

Use the Hieght tool to raise the "Ground" So you can put floating blox everywhere.
