not bad for a man who get s a £1,000 a mounth from the tax payer to pay his council tax and £800 a mounth to pay his morgage from the tax payer ah poor we sole
The truth is, it is 'the people' who have fucked everything up, the government are just another group of fuckups.
People are by nature, lazy and stupid, and while not all british people are lazy and stupid many are infact lazy and stupid.
What britain needs is a good old fashioned military minded arse kicker who isn't afraid to slap the sevearl generations of spoiled ungrateful spineless little brats extremely hard on their arses.
Cameron is trying to score political points. There was a lot of cars thefts in the early 1990's where I live, and also young gangs causing mayhem and trouble on the streets in the mid 1990's. Who were in power then? The Conservatives. One day Cameron says "Hug an hoodie" and the next he is proposing to be tough on crime. Same as what Blair said in 1993, Tough on Crime, tough on the causes of crime. I thought Straw was arrogant and out of touch though with what he said.
Its important to recognise young people often hate crime and are the victims of crime too. Im 23 and gangs make me sick. So do yobs. Our criminal justice system remains extremely pro-criminal. I am not in the flogging-hanging brigade and I hate mob justice, what we need in Britain is real justice. Mr Cameron has done the right thing taking time to listen to someone like Helen Newlove rather than yet another bleeding heart group like Asbo Concern, hellbent on helping criminals avoid punishment.
The evil scumbags who viciously killed Mr Newlove should die in prison. But as whole life tariffs are barely used, they probably won't. There is far too much time given to bleeding heart pro- criminal pressure groups like The Howard League for Penal Reform and Asbo Concern and not enough given to groups like the Victims of Crime Trust. I am also sick of excuses being made for young offenders and the notion that young people can't also be enraged by yobs. The issue is not poverty. Its attitude.
i agree with points 1 to 10, i blame these do gooders that's why the system is fucked up. Mr Goverment why don't you try watching americas toughest prisions, ie bootcamp etc on there. There ain't no psp's where them guys are in the u.s.a. All in all scum bags are weak. But they can lock u up for not paying yer council tax, what the fuck is going on. Yours truly from warrington..
Plz support there campaign, 1)the return of the death penalty, 2)a compulsory DNA database, 3)zero tolerance for minor crimes, 4)the repeal of the Human Rights Act, 5)more bobbies on the beat, 6)parents made more responsible for their kids, 7)victims' rights to be put ahead of offenders', 8)juvenile criminals to be named and shamed, 9)the scrapping of plans to turn off street lights to save energy 10)and a crackdown on binge drinking.
My sympathy to the Newloves, and good for Cameron. He needs to stand for family values and oppose the growing yob culture if he is going to stand a chance in the next election. Do society a favour and vote Conservative.

isn't that the problem? Thatchers alco-pops generation have grown up and we can all see their parenting skills. camerone IS a pr marketing man and spins more than Blair. 'vote tory go green'????what a nugget that one is. and i remember well the vote on maastricht [not] do you? anyway sunny obviously the time for a cull of the diseased badgers is well over due. Their brains have started to be affected
There is very clearly a sickness in Britain. True, other nations have crime as well- some with much higher levels but we have a deep problem. Root causes must allways be looked at, but as a society we must not tolerate those who terrorize us. When such appalling crimes get equally appalling outcomes (ie 4 years for an unprovoked brutal murder) it is obvious that the legal system is on the side of the criminals and not the victims. This isn't tabloid sensationalism- its whats actually happening.
'On the other hand are the thugs who couldn't give a damn'- whilst those words are true, its hard to believe its coming from the same man who said we should be sympathetic towards young yobs.
More power to Helen Newlove, she is a very courageous woman who deserves support. The present goverment or any goverment could do much more to rid our streets of scum. There should be zero tolerance of all anti social behaviour, a name and shame policy, a ''three strikes and you're out'' rule, all it needs is the will to do it.
Mrs Newlove said it herself in this video, 'we need action, words are very very cheap'. However, the opposition, like the government, are great at talking about the problem but are guilty of having no realistic strategy or new ideas to deal with serious violent crime.
My simpathy goes out to the Newloves. This happening once is bad enough but it's all too frequent. All the points posted are valid. What need is a solution (stating the obvious I know). Some favour the death penalty which does stop these individuals reoffending, either that or life imprisonment. Personally I believe that those who commit this kind of crime don't value their own lives or any real values so they are not going to change. Being soft has got us nowhere, tougher must be better?

Cameron - Osborne - Boris = the 3 STOOGES.
Cameron is such a phoney that he is prepared to foist the POSH VICKY POLLARD. YAR BUT NO BUT YAR on London. They keep him away from as many debates as possible [understandable] but it shows he doesn't care about London and therefore Britain.
he has made a mockery of our democracy. Nobody with the slightest intelligence believes that this xfactor Johnson is anything other than a puppet that will run nothing, decide nothing or do anything other than read a script. Camerone has given us our Bush and Reagan. A sham and a mockery of democracy. shame on this marketing pr man worth over £30m and yet still prepared to take more than £20 000 off us taxpayers to pay his morgage. argue that
Boris Johnson a puppet? Considering how may times he has spoken out of turn and said things that Cameron wouldn't condone, how the hell could such an intelligent and vibrant person be a puppet?
And with regards to Cameron, Blair was the true PR man, more money spent on spin than any previous PM.
Besides, it is Brown is making a mockery of our democracy, where's our referendum on the Lisbon Treaty and where's our free speech now?
Brown and his dithering have made a mockery of this country.
I have deep sympathy for this Lady and her family but I find it despicable to use her hurt as a political tool. I also find it appalling that so many politicians go to schools and publish videos and news reports exposing the children to the media. We are told that parents can't video their own children, but politicians expose dozens, quite disgusting. American Politics at it's worst.
It's disgusting the yob culture, a grown man and father murdered by 3 teenages. The government do nothing about youth crime just softly softly approaches, asbos, cautions & fines in some cases small sentences or community service. In 2005 2 of my friends got badly attacked by 3 youths ages 13/15/17 and they only got 2 weeks comms service. We need action, army style discipline programs and tough penalties for youths, no more weak methods, our society is out of control, we need action Mr Cameron.
puddyhuston, I really don't think we should be teching our children that the big bad magic man from the sky is going to punish them in the afterlife if they misbehave, they must be taught morals as a human virtue, and there should be REAL consequences in law to discourage them in the here and now.
I do not think religion is needed in these times to bring morals to our children, an upbringing that has been focused upon what is right and wrong will do the same job whilst keeping intact the childs free will to choose if he or she wishes to follow a faith.
Very well said, now David do something to change how parents parent, it does not take 2 parents either just one good one as I was only one and succeeded in bringing up four good well behaved children because we believed in God and morals and not being totally selfish as this sociey have become now We need more prayer and more respect in families.
