  • asList just makes it "view" the array as a list? There is still an array underlying the implementation? Or does it actually convert the array to a linked list data structure?

  • very informative & great commentary :)

  • Make sure you spell it totally wrong =))

  • I tried to write an array to a file and it only prints the last element in the List??? It boggles my mind.

  • is it possible to realize something like that :

    ...stuff = {function a(x){return x},function b(x){return (array){"yes","no","world"}};

    system.out......stuff[1]('hallo')[2] ;

    answer : world

  • I've been told that Java is kind of limited in what you can do, is this true?

  • Java needs a virtual machine to run a Java program in your computer, but most computers have Java Virtual Machine pre-installed, but Windows 7 doesn't come with Java pre-installed.

  • @spookymcfuzzy That's false. When java first came out, it wasn't nearly as complex as C and C++, so it was frowned upon. However, now it is a very large and powerful language. It supports multiple features (games, 3D, flash, etc). Java has grown substantially and run on nearly every machine (cellphones, pda's, computers, etc)

  • Okay, I never said I think it's limited, this is what I've heard.

  • oh, my bad.

  • @spookymcfuzzy Hell Android is built on mostly on Java

    Also the best PSP emulator out there is written in Java

  • @spookymcfuzzy

    It's not true, java is a general purpose language and is very powerful.
