anyone else hear that creepy growl around 5:40?? I mean the whole thing was beautiful and peaceful, but Im serious when i say that seriously scared me! wonderful vid though :DD

@JusiotheJadeSparrow I played it back and only heard a funny bird call around 5:30 - You had me scared for a minute there. I was thinking maybe it picked up the sound of my snoring inside the tent, and I had maybe forgotten to edit it out.

@TallSky well if it helps, you can hear the same sound at the beginning, about the 8 second mark. I assume the audio repeats. I really don't know what it is either. sounds like a animal, but does not take away at all from your video

What camera was used to record this?

@MilesTailsPrower2008 This particular footage was recorded with a one year old JVC Everio GZ-HM200, Dual Memory cam with 20x zoom.It is a middle of the road consumer grade cam that was once listed in consumer reports as a good "best buy" for the buck. It has full 192o x 1080, but not too great indoors, or in low light. With the moon it does fine, though.

Thanks for the heads up I missed the moon on Sat. myself and so it's nice to be able to see it. I just queue it twice and it goes all night, really helps me sleep.

Where I am in Oregon is was too overcast for the majority of the night, so I only caught several photos of the SuperMoon when the clouds cleared for just seconds at a time.
