@Marydawgs Nice diversion, mary, buthis family life is not the issue... of course cheating on your wife is morally wrong, but we are talking about so-called gay rights and other's opinions about them. I for one am glad that someone is standing up to this wave of attempts to legitimize the gay lifestyle. I don't care what gays do in private but don't tell me I have to like it and support it or I'm a hater.

People have the right to legal rights re:inheritance and legal status when it comes to a life partner's medical care.Civil union does not give those rights to gay people.It also does not give Social Security benefits to same sex partners.All citizens are entitled to equal access.You cannot provide rights,privileges and benefits to some citizens and not others. That is discriminatory.

@AntaresInScorpius yes they will. the courts will vote to extend rights to gay people just as they have for other social groups that have had rights denied them. not that those groups will necessarily support it either. it's amazing. it's ok to discriminate when it's not your group but not ok when it's someone you approve of.
