  • oh yeah the rest is the airdryers removing moisture out of the main res.

  • 136 cars 2 lead units and 1 dp unit is an average unit coal train 19000 plus tons. and that cracking popping sound as it starts is garbage and sand on the rail as the weight of the locomotive wheels roll over it. YOU make a hard right and a hard left turn pulling that and see if you aint complaning.

  • Looks like that train had a hard time getting over out the yard. good job! UP rocks!

  • So wait, is that the EJ&E or UP line? I remember Nick Hart seeing EJ&E on that line before.

  • That is UP Joliet Sub. EJ&E rarely runs coal trains there.

  • i like it- mustve been a heavy train..

  • Yeah it was. It only needed the helper because the train needed to get up a hill out of the yard.

  • Long train? 120 Railroadcars?

  • Probably more than 150 loaded coal gondolas.

  • The DPU at end is not a GEVO, it is an AC4400CW-CTE.

  • Really? I just winged it and took it for granted. I know that UP renames everything into crazy confusing stuff. Thank you.
