  • Bloody Hell! There's some really Pretentious comments being made on this Documentry here!! christ!

  • @67psych glad someone said it mate :)

  • Andy warhol 0:28

  • There's a very good and logical reason why you take 'hallucinogens' out with nature and not on a city street or roller coaster ride. Its because their sacred, it's from nature so use it with nature! Dont be stupid and take it for the sake of taking it. Be prepared and in a calm state of mind. I always meditate before taking any form of 'LSD' . Whether its Mushrooms, Tabs, microdots, whatever, it works a charm and tends to bring a much more heightened sense of 'wow-ness' :) Peace

  • if i was to compile a list of the world's most uninformed, crap-spewing, ignorant people, that man would be in my top 3. what a boring fuck.

  • 5:24 what is more of a bad trip than this sober reality...

  • When you've come through the intense cosmic experience, you have experienced the pure Observer Self, nonjudgemental, purely objective,no right or wrong, good or bad. What is, simply IS. You have experienced the detail of the subatomic quantum makeup of the illusion of physicality, seen the energy that is universal and is the One that is All. Be in the Now, and become that which you truly are, a Spiritual Being having a physical experience. Experience need not be interpreted as good/bad.

  • Bad trips offer incredible insight, I've been chewed up and spit out by psychedelics, I've had experiences in which the entire world lost it's meaning, all material possessions and people just faded. I've come to realize all the beautiful things in life that I took for granted and I've gained an incredible sense of self love. I feel like there's an alternate dimension in which Im still a miserable asshole because I never tried LSD and Mushrooms

  • The mind is not simply happiness and good thoughts, you must be willing to accept the entirety of yourself if you decide to take the journey.

  • Anybody know what this song is? I luv it!

  • @headiero beatles alll too much - /watch?v=kXjOf7kdHpA

  • Up until this moment I have had some respect for the comments of the participants of the documentary. I have a masters degree in history and I work as a translator for diplomats. And I have taken LSD, Psilocybin many times.... and believe me: I have had a lot of bad trips, but the thing is that you learn the most from bad trips. You wont get addicted to hallucinogens since there are so many horrible experiences. But the drugs give you insane experiences that makes you face your own demons.

  • hey it's the zig zag guy at 0:32 and the dude with the pink and green face paint at 0:52 look cool as hell

  • Having done LSD, hearing these people who obviously never have talk about it like they know something about it is quite hilarious.

  • So what that chief advisor said is that if you take LSD in supervision there are absolutely no risks...well except for ppl who have condition for mental breakdown. I also believe that bad trips, as well as good ones, are a learning lesson, if you allow your mind to learn from the experience

  • yeeaahh all you people youre right every body´s blind without lsd is good to know that there people hwo are not stupid.

  • God Bless LSD!

  • hippies....

  • "When you take LSD,

it is a drug -more than any other I know-

that is dependent upon your own expectations of it,

and the setting you're in when you take it. "

    Ahh, beautifully put.

  • i want to try this so bad haha

  • @jdawgydawg69

    SO DO I!

    D:

    I'm just waiting for summer.

  • the real risk now is getting real LSD vs. some synthetic which is passed off as LSD.

  • 0:45 jaja los elntes dle wey ke tirpeado

  • im thinking about trying it but ive been stressed alot lateley so should i do it?

  • @schwiendehund101 Wouldn't advise you to. Life tends to be long, and there are many years ahead of you (well, likely). Wait for a moment when you feel you are, and have been for some time, at least 'ok' with life and yourself. Even if it is a matter of trusting, I advise to be certain that there is much more to existence than what we usually think - that is, there should be no need to convince ourselves about it. LSD, can, however, do a marvellous work in adding an 'absolute' before 'certainty'

  • @schwiendehund101 i would take some mushrooms first if i was you.

  • A friend of mine tried LSD and he got a crazy bad trip and a year later there were flashbacks and he tried to kill him self 3 times , but we stoped him.

  • the song at the beginning is "it's all too much" by the beatles. i thought this was john lennon singing too but its not haha its george harrison. the song is from the yellow submarine album. this song pretty much explains the real world when your on lsd

  • it was pretty damn decent actually!! thanks for asking... Doing it again on saturday as a matter of fact!!! Very clean stuff too!

  • @tboneLCN420 could you please if it of course doesn't bother you, give me more insight on your trip, like a descriptin...I'm really interested in hearing

  • 3:15. It looks like Mr. Mackey from South Park did a stint in the Navy in his younger years.

I just wish he had said, "Suicide, mmkay?"

  • Which Beatles song was that at the beginning? It sounds like John Lennon singing.

  • @bbplayerav its all too much

  • @bbplayerav It's all too much- written by George Harrison :)

  • i got 6 hits of some killer lsd that im gonna eat with my gf tonight!!!!

  • fuck yea

  • Suicide? Really? I haven't taken acid yet but I can be self assured that that man never had either.

  • @berested Yeah, same here, its only politically right drivel designed to scare any potential users of lsd.

  • 1:42 to 2:39 something to think about there, not just with cid!

  • there is no reason not to try LSD. Every time I've done LSD it's legitimately been 10 hours of fun. The ultimate Stay-cation

  • While I mostly agree with this comment (i've never had a bad acid experience), I can't say it's totally true. There are some people and some situations that's aren't right for acid. The majority of people will have a good time, but a major rule of thumb is that if you have or have had a history of schizophrenic (sp?) episodes personally or in your direct family, it's probably a good idea to avoid LSD (and likely most psychedelics).

  • wat if the schizophrenia and bi polar disorders are only on the female side of my family?

I've had 5 truly successful trips. The first one was for fun and for bonding with some friends and the next few were more spiritual inward journeys in the high mountains of Vermont. I love it, I think everyone should trip and document it every 6 months :)

  • @poncethegreat169

First off, I have to say I'm a fan of that idea. But as with any substance there will be at least some people with brains not well suited for the experience. In relation to your question, do you mean that all the history is on your mothers side (men and women) or it has only been present in your female relatives?

  • the mental condition comes from my mothers side and the bi-polar only affects the women in the family while the schizophrenia afflicts both male and female on her side (rarely) but has always manifested itself by adolescence. Strange I know, but it seems I'm in the clear.

  • How old are you? Symptoms of schizophrenia do normally manifest between mid to late teens and mid twenties. If it doesn't directly affect a parent, you fairly ok, but a history in your family is never too good a sign. But a key rule is that you know your own body and your own mind. If you believe you are stable, then I believe it.

  • 21 and more stable than most. My father has no mental illness. I definately don't overdue it, but every summer I like to plan out a special day or two when I can sit back, go out of my mind, and gain a new perspective.

I have a theory about the novelty felt from tripping and I would like you to tell me what you think. The best way to learn something is to form many cross linking neural connections. When tripping I think a similar cross linking is done, hence the feeling of novelty. thoughts?

  • Based on your desciption I'd say you are perfectly fine tripping, but it is always smart to watch out.

I really like you're theory. As of today, nobody really knows how drugs affect the brain (especially not hallucinogens), so your theory could very likely be correct. My view is that, on a trip, you see the world as it really is, without the veil of game reality. That is you're reality map. Things don't have to make sense, because the universe is so much more complex than that.

  • if it lifts the veil of our perception of reality, then shouldn't multiple people tripping at the same intensity see and experience the same things? That is of course unless you begin to consider the possibility that while tripping we are capable of receiving stimuli from alternate dimensions, in which case what you experience would depend entirely on what plane of existence you were focused on...

  • I totally agree actually. But even with the veil of perception lifted, reality is still a creation of the mind, and each mind is unique. Therefore each trip has it's own peculiarities. I also agree about the alternate dimensions thing, but those are right here right now... always. It's just that we have lost touch with them.

  • dont be fooled LSD is the best thing ever

  • It's all too much... for me to take....

    love the Beatles song

  • LSD is the bee's knees

  • well, all you youtubers out there.

    lsd is a goood thing.

  • Is there anybody out there who is able to obtain a known quanitiy of high quality LSD (or any hallucinogen) manufactured by a trustworthy chemist? I love acid, but I hate not knowing what I'm putting into my body when I take a street drug. IF anybody has connections OR is as interested in finding somebody as I am, please PM me.

  • @227Morgan make sum dumb ass and no1 gunna help you stupid wtf illegal

  • @scorpionsoulja

Do you have any idea how complicated making LSD is. It takes some pretty specialized lab equipment and a lot of knowhow. And why the fuck should legality matter? It was once illegal to drink alcohol; did that stop anybody? Did slavery's legality make it right?

  • narc

  • It is idiotic for a person to use LSD if they have a mental issue. First learn to meditate get over some hang ups, The fright feeling on LSD is the feeling of religious ego death. Let it go, Neither be repulsed nor attracted. Take the middle way. It's like practice for actual death. Lucky to be able to see it. But hold to single pointed concentration recite the mystic law, be reborn into your own body feeling enlightened. No longer needing to be reminded what it's all about.

  • Taking LSD in a crowd was idiotic, wasteful and counterproductive.

Jesus went into the Wilderness Buddha into the Forest.

Love-ins and Raves is wrong setting.

  • @Nearou I would disagree with you and say that lsd is good for cheap amusement, but it is not about other people, its about yourself, Not sure if that made sense.

  • For sure man. if your taking lsd with a person who has problems. they will come out. and you need to leave them and get by yourself because bad aura or feelings will bring you down. unless you give it love and acceptance

  • nonsense weak....

bad trips are the start of the learning....

they show you your fixed ideas and help you break free of them.....

infact we all are weak minded before LSD....

we all are complicated and caught up in our ego's......the bad trips reveal this...and if you allow it,you will have the best trip ever ,after letting go....if u dont let go,you are causing yourself to be a mess....

bad trips do not mean you are weak...stop talking crap...everyone has tons of baggage before LSD...

  • well put my brother. this is the kind of respect LSD deserves. it's not for idiots who search for cheap amusement,

it's a sort of self revelation to understand yourself and the universe you live in.

and yea bad trips are not fun, but after you experienced a bad trip, you'll see the beauty manifests afterwards.

  • @nutrinoland How do people let go during mid trip? i'm just wondering because i'm looking into trying it

  • @nutrinoland I just started taking mushrooms to start with. Three times in past 2 weeks. Last time was 4.5 grams accompanied by a veteran lsd/mushroom/pot user who was 20, me 23. I think of my self as a weakling since I have had bad OCD growing up. However, when taking the mushrooms and sitting down with him, sometimes I would feel unease.. but eventually I felt one with everything and I'll never be the same. ;)

  • @nutrinoland your comment is my status on Facebook :D

  • seems like you still have not had a bad trip....well..everyone has bad trips....u'll see....

stop being so cocky....cause then you're not gonna believe it when it comes knocking on your door....and you will sit there in disbelief as it rippps apart your ego and your silly concept of yourself....

  • I am grateful for my bad trips.....cause i learned the most from them....

and then i have had the best trips after them...

  • whats the opening song?

  • beatles- it's all too much

  • whats the song playing at 1:00 ?

  • the person around 8:00 had a bad trip because he couldn't look past the scary events, he needed to look past his horrors and see the beauty.

  • Fuck all that

I can relate to this guy, did it a handfull of times, till my bad trip.

    and that was........................1988!

stick a fork in me, I'm done

  • The Navy speaker at around 3:30 makes me cringe. Too busy talking about what COULD happen. But he's saying it WILL happen. This guy WILL have a bad trip and he WILL kill himself to escape it.

I've had bad trips where I thought I had done permanant damage to my eyes and wanted to slash my wrists to make it stop.

Thank god I didn't. But seriously, I hate watching old propaganda videos like that.

  • This substance needs to be controlled and regulated. It's a sin to deny people the experience of seeing your subconscious mind while you are still awake.

  • All Too Much - just how I felt. Did things I wouldn't normally do - though the best sherbet I ever tasted.

  • I want it

  • 00:20 look on the left :D

  • 2:40

looks like hes telling a lie to me

  • anyone know the song at the beginning of this clip?

  • 'its all too much' - the beatles

  • Yes, the hardest-rocking Beatles's song ever, by George Harrison, on the frikin' Yellow Submarine cartoon movie/cd/album.

  • If you think that this song is the "hardest-rocking" Beatle's song then you obviously have not listened to much of their stuff. Try "Helter Skelter".

  • HA! Yeah, I've heard Helter Skelter. Basically I was talking about G. Harrison's Jimi Hendrix-like guitar opening and electricfied distorted effects with feedback. Also Ringo is very heavy on th snare drum with the added backbeat effects. However, the keyboards onthis one tend to negate the heaviness of it. I was in a group and the leader asked what Beatlkes sogns I wanted to play. Those were Helter Skelter and B.I.T.U.S.S.R. but whatever. Peace!

  • I had an extremely intense bad trip one time. I took 5 dried grams (what Terence McKenna calls a "heroic dose") of Psilocybin Cubensis without realizing how much I was taking, and the resulting trip was so intense I tried to fight it, which is way caused it to go bad. At the time, it was the most confusing and frightening experience I ever had. Looking back on it, I was merely wrestling with my own fears and inhibitions, which caused me to recalibrate how I see myself and how I live my life.

  • bill hicks you copy

  • Comment removed

  • there's no such thing as a bad trip. only strange ones.

  • 2:47, Dumbass, marijuana isn't even bad

  • If you have a bad trip, couldn't tripping again, while having a better idea of what's coming, change some of the long-term effects of a bad trip?

  • indeed it can and does

  • I've never felt like I do when I'm flying

    I don't care if I live or I'm dying

  • Fear is nothing but Ignorance

    -Mikhael Catapang

  • The only time I tryed LSD I took 4 hits and was alone in my room at 3 in the morning. I had a very bad trip and I never though of killing myself through the whole thing. People aren't that stupid.

  • feminism today has nothing to do with equal rights. like all "equality" movement it transformed into hate towards men and greed to want more rights than other groups.

  • whats the tune at the start?

  • "It's all too much" - The Beatles

  • Yay George!

    The Beatles <3

  • ppl have bad experiences because they expect bad things. if you go in to taking it for the right reasons. to expand your mind to see things you could never imagine than it will be the best thing you can ever do. dont be afraid because its only the transportation of your mind temporarily into another realm or universe. and its much more beautiful on the other side.

  • I agree absolutely with Dr. Hoffman. Had people not taken it for recreational purposes, whether to expand their minds of or as a diversion, this wonderful chemical may have been used to treat so many others who may have gained some real use from it, under a controlled, therapeutic environment.

  • Hey its the Beatles. I love the Beatles. Everyone loves the Beatles.

  • the horrible presence behind everything described at 9:00 is what i feel on salvia trips

  • I agree salvia sucks I hated that crap and it tastes like shit too!

  • ya :(

  • Tripping one winter evening; I was walking alone on a quiet street. I felt someone was watching me. Looked to my left, saw a woman standing in front of a brick building. Startled, I knew I was tripping. I walked over to face her, stood two feet in font of her. She appeared to be trapped in the face of the building; a tormented soul that couldn't leave. I was mesmerized and horrified. Couldn't bring myself to touch her to see if she was real.Take LSD,have a strong grip on reality, expect anything.

  • That's part of my concern though, not everyone is "ready," mentally speaking, to experience this substance. Some can handle it, others just have bad trips... lol

  • I'm glad you acknowledge that though. I don't think it's helpful to have an idealistic view that it can do no wrong. Obviously it has to depend on the individual.

  • The no sense of time is hard to deal with,

  • its only a bad time when its strycht out

  • has anyone on here had a bad trip? and how bad was it?

  • imagine the universe is on fire, folding in on itself, and you are in the middle of the collapse

  • Imagine every single bit of matter in the universe is tied together by an invisible purple web of energy. Every single one of us connected. Every star. Every planet. Every sub-atomic particle tied together as one. A single Universal unit of existence. A tear drop of what is. Now imagine it as infinity with no beginning and no end. Infinite time, space and energy in all directions at all times and forever and ever. Can you imagine God?

  • Well said! Beyond Infinity-Smaller than nothing...

  • :)

Infinity is all things at all times stretching out like unseen tentacles into nothing. Never afraid and always creating.

    Love

    Smiles at

    Death

  • @Kostly Always! (:

  • @Kostly

    Nice one.

  • fuck you - 2:50

  • robk90 lmao thats just stupid

  • No actually it's very much possible and true. Those who have taken a large enough dosage of this substance are accidentally capable and more prone to re-induce a chemical experience, psychologically speaking, even though the chemical has long since worn off, because the original experience was potent enough to leave an imprint constellation of hyper-neural activity in the brain that can easily be recalled. Especially when smoking weed, which is a mild for of LSD, it's no wonder he "flashed back"

  • LSD is a strange fragment of truth

  • lsd is not for wussies only wild at heart can fly hi and hi and hi

  • whats the song at the beginning of this video?

  • I was the film editor for this BBC programme. That music track is George Harrison, "It's All Too Much".

  • it s all too much by george harrisson ( the beatles)

  • 3:23 lol

  • You are a moron. That's a myth.

  • ... several mental hospitals were suing for the effects of being treated with lsd. These were people that would be strapped to a bed, given a HUGE amount of LSD, be left alone, while every now and then the doctors came and took notes. These were the same doctors who claimed "LSD had no therapeutic effect"...

The myth of flashbacks have little or no root in reality. Dont worry! : D

  • Ok thanks!

  • I asked because college will most likely when I start experimenting with LSD and I didn't want to go to class with a trip or worse a bad trip!

  • Offcourse, who´d want to be in that state of mind in class? Surtenly not me, LOL!

Just be rested before the trip, and have at least one day of after and you´ll be fine! : )

  • Unless it lasts a whole lot longer, I hear.

  • i have gotten flashbacks whne i was really high on weed

  • CAUTION: this documentary is mainstream brainwashing :D

  • Albert Hofmann. plz excuse the obvious type errors, when i get into a rant on the keyboard i might miss or add un-conciously to or from words.

P.S LSD is not the drug you want to underestimate.

i get acid from nimbin, its strong but i would GUESS no more than 80 or so micrograms.

  • i can say with the utter most confidence that, unless you get your "LSD" from the chemist who synthesized it, and you personally know him/her you don not know the microgram dosage. do you realy think that from the chemist lab, across a country to your hand NO ONE has added, say, a teaspoon of H2O to the marketed quantity? maby to make a few quick thowsand dollars extra? dont forget, Alber Hofmann himself said that , quote "250mic.grms was a very, very strong dose." he is acid's FATHER.

  • 7 of 9 is super hot

  • yay beatles song!

  • Lol totally the Beatles rule...

  • Well, ofcourse it´s possible to bad on anything. Then you either are not well enough prepared, have taken too much,or have problems which means lsd is´nt for you.But the most common reason people freak out on silly, normal stuff while tripping is taking a way too large dose.I´ve been tripping for about 15 years, and if I felt anything resembling the stuff you described,I´d stay away from it!But it´s absolutely true what you say about the trip being totally subjective. Good luck tonight! : )

  • thanks for your advice man haha i took it last night... most intense thing ever :S nothing like anyones described it would be like... gets confusing in the morning after its wearing off when you in the 'time loop' sort of thing (best i could describe it) best drug ive ever taken i couldnt stop laughing all night and still have the giggles now!

  • Your welcome!

It´s really impossible to describe, yeah. I had the same laughing kick the last time i tripped with my friend, we went totally nuts about "acting norma"l and laughed our balls of...

Glad you had a great experience, LSD rocks!

  • what about flashbacks? are they a real common thing or is it actually pretty rare and just used as a way to scare people from using lsd?

  • You know how when you smell something you used to smell as a child, you can get all these memories and emotions from that time? Thats similar. You cannot trip, without the substances, dont worry.

However if you experienced a psychoses (or other unbalance/ mental disorder*) during a trip and later enter a psychoses (*) again, you may feel much of the same stuff. But hallucinating; no.

Stories of flashbacks and people "staying" in a badtrip were popular in media in a period where pasients at...

  • Dont know why but my anwers didnt show up, even though the text beside the dialoguebox said "posted"...

    Well, well, I´ll try again.

Food is great on acid! Anything you like while sober is unbelievable under the influence. Food, drink, sound/music, water...

Dont run any machinery like cars and the like, ofcourse. Like the old hippies said: "Being God, but tripping over furniture"

  • That's all personal experience. You cant say the same thing for everyone.

Some people HATE food on acid, because it feels like they're going to choke, and that sends them into a bad trip

  • I´ve never experienced ANYONE badtripping from EATING.With that logic you could badtrip on absolutely anything. That claim sounds like someone who has limited or no experience.Anyone who´s able to "badtrip" the way you described simply from eating food should stay away from psychedelics in the first place.Besides the question was about taste during the influence, compared to ecstasy.

You make it sound like tripping is russian rulette, where the tiniest little mistake can become a badtrip.

  • Define "bad" .. again its quite subjective to personal opinion and experience.

I have had an instance where I didnt like the feel of the food.. the texture hurt my throat.. and because acid makes objects more 'fluid' and 'moving' then a bad texture ie: sharpness, will be moving throughtout your mouth.

In my circumstance it made me cough and want to get it out. It constantly felt like there was something in my throat, so i kept coughing, kept trying to get it out. This lead to fear and panic..

  • and i was afraid I may choke.

So YES.. it is entirely possible to get in a 'bad trip' whilst eating.

    Again.. it's all about perception.

And YOU should be able to understand that with acid you pretty much CAN go into a bad trip in any situation that leads you to think that something may interfere with your wellbeing.

  • Writing with a red pen may cause you to think that evil things are going to happen because red employs a BAD emotion ie:blood.. red=evil, hence it manifests itself.

I've had things like this happen on strong doses.. but it is entirely possible, and entirely subjective to the individual.

  • my fav colour is red :S

  • thanks :P il make sure i eat loads its my hobby haha

  • haha . you should always eat abit, then wait till your meal has settled before you do any drug. But yes on acid its quite important. LSD can give you symptoms of nausea and feeling sick whilst coming up or on it. I generally ONLY get it coming up, and only sometimes. Again it depends on the person.

I really dont like to eat on acid, but some people like to because it enhances flavour IMENSLY. I generally hate the feeling and cant do it because every taste is just way too strong for me.

  • little sweets are nice while your triping (for me anyways) the come ups crazy i just laughed at everything, and anyone whos goin to take lsd i advise you to look in the mirror its funny as hell

  • I want to run like an antelope outa control

  • stupid republican dickheads. they put down whatever they cant fully understand, and use scare tactics to try to convince people that things are evil and wrong.

  • yeah i always want to kill myself when im laughing my lungs out watching everything breath and change.but blue sounds sooooo good sometimes

  • dont lie

  • Splendidly put bloodcream. Thanks!

  • the girl at 6:40 doesnt look to terrified to me, she looks like shes enjoying herself quite literally.

  • ...your natural emotions, because they may be unpleasent. If you dont fight, you will have lesser of a "Bad Trip" and more of a "Dark emotional experience".

After some time, any bad feelings usually passes away naturally,as you realize there´s SO many things to explore and be fascinated by... Like a child crying, really. Also, during the last part of the "landing" it can be nice to have a few beers. It can sort of "soften" the last phaze a wee bit. Have a good one! : )

  • "It's all Too much" is a really underrated Beatles song. You never hear it played anymore. Groovy as hell.

  • haha suicide?? come on

  • yeah i agree.

it can suck though to be in a bad trip. cant sleep, cant close your eyes.

  • lol at 3:08 the goverment fears lsd because it fills people with the realization that this way of life we have now is very very fucked up and there no longer mindless thoughtless drones that work day after day and are silenced into thinking everything is good with escapist things like T.V video games cars and ipods

  • People don't know how to ride out a bad trip.

  • I´ve experienced a nasty badtrip. Both set and setting was completely wrong. But I´ve tripped tenfolds of times after that, and had just positive eperiences. You just have to go through it, if you dont deny the dark aspects of the world, you can leave them behind...

  • I agree, bad trips are a part LSD but once you have a few acid becomes your best friend.

  • and you talk to each other, play cards, share things in common

  • ok im guna try acid for the first time some time soon so how do u keep bad trips from happening or if they do happen how do u "ride them out"?

  • umm, dont try acid till your completely ready with no questions asked...cause your still worried about bad trips and it still has a chance it will happen if you dont worry about it all it....it wont happen...In my opinion.
