  • lol this is an oldie, nice glitter and good cam tho

  • very cool.

  • GREAT STARS!

Wrap another layer of kraft paper around the spiking though.

and use a longer delay, and maybe more lift!

  • very nice stars 5*

  • Nice try tho mate, *****Stars

  • Nice purple, nice glitter too.

  • good stars

    one tip tho

after you spike your shell make sure to wrap an exxtra layer of paper over the spiking

other wise the lift charge often burns it and rips it a part making it useless

    great shell tho!!

  • use more lift

  • ok with all that went wrong great glitter and purple color had to give a 5

  • that was cool makes it look bigger when its low anyways lol

  • *claps* nicely done (althogh i agree with coolboy499 it is a smidge too low)

  • gorgeous effect but it broke way too low.

    need more lift next time.

  • ♥ THAT WAS AWESOME ♥ XD

  • how to make aplease :)

  • yeah that was cool

  • Nice, but the break should have been a bit higer :)

  • very nice stars :) Glitter and good purple. I have to do these stars. You should work on your burst and you should give more lift powder.

  • cool, you should make a vid on how to make one.

  • low break but the effect was great, nice job :)

  • too low but jus beautiful

  • how much lift did you use for the shell, was it the 1/10 method of the shell weight to the amount of lift powder

  • Low break for sure, all of the stars were in downward motion when the shell went off. Great job with the strobe stars and spiking though. Sounded like the low break was caused by a weak lift, no boom, sounded like all the gases escaped around the outside of the shell. I'd really like to know what you used in your strobe star comp.

  • Thanks. I pasted quite a lot over the spiking on this shell so it was actually quite tight fitting in the mortar. The weak lift I guess was just a underestimation on my part. I assumed I needed 1/10th of the shell weight but it was poor batch of BP so I should have used much much more.

  • Oh yea the stars were Winokur 20 glitter which is ....

    48.00% Kno3

    17.00% Sulfur

    12.00% Magnalium (-200 mesh)

    10.00% Charcoal (airfloat)

    5.00% Sodium Bicarbonate

    4.00% Iron Oxide (red)

    4.00% Dextrin

Although similar, techinically its a glitter effect rather than strobe.

  • Eh me I prefer D1. That's a nice glitter though.

You have any advice on sulfate strobes if you've made em?

  • Low break or your stars burnt longer than planned?

  • pretty sweet

  • cool
