So, while many white Slovaks seem to exhibit this hateful, ugly disdain for the Roma (something I truly dislike to witness), it is reasonable to assume that perhaps the color of their skin has little to do with the hatred, and it is the culture clash that is the main cause. The Roma like having big families, but they are incapable of sustaining those families financially. This does not stop them from expanding those families, stretching the Koruna even further, until it becomes insufficient.
While it is nobody's place to say how many children you or I can have, it is also reasonable to wonder whether having more children than one can take care of is a good idea. If you cannot provide for the one or two children you already have, is it a good idea to have five more? If you don't have money to feed, clothe, clean and school them, are you doing them a favor by bringing them into this world? Should you not put all your best energy into the children you already have?.............

I lived in Slovakia for three years and its a country full of good people. They are quite honest with their feelings about Gypsies. Generally they don't like them because Gypsies don't work, take social benefits without giving back, and go against Slovak culture.

@Sumakuni Not true. Gypsy children are not sepatrated! I has had in school in my class 3 gypsies. The footage is manipulative, there are of course many of them in special schools because of aggresivity and they have very often poor hygienical practices. Special schools are not for gypsies they are for children which can not be in regular class. Every man has the right for the same education and he will get it. You have to want it. So, while many white Slovaks seem to exhibit this hateful, ugly disdain for the Roma (something I truly dislike to witness), it is reasonable to assume that perhaps the color of their skin has little to do with the hatred, and it is the culture clash that is the main cause. The Roma like having big families, but they are incapable of sustaining those families financially. This does not stop them from expanding those families, stretching the Koruna even further, until it becomes insufficient.

If you cannot provide for the one or two children you already have, is it a good idea to have five more? If you don't have money to feed, clothe, clean and school them, are you doing them a favor by bringing them into this world? Planned Parenthood was accused of having the same agenda in poor black neighborhoods. Were the accusations factual? I don't know. The point is that there are countries all over the world with human rights violations. Should Slovaks feel better about it? Not really. Issues like this must be addressed one way or another. I don't know how true it is about the accusations of sterilization. All I know is that if it is true, it is absolutely horrid. Nobody has the right to tell anyone how many children they are allowed to have. If such a thing happened, people responsible must be prosecuted. I lived in Slovakia for three years and its a country full of good people. They are quite honest with their feelings about Gypsies. Generally they don't like them because Gypsies don't work, take social benefits without giving back, and go against Slovak culture.
Slovaks need to learn that not all Gypsies are bad, but Americans need to learn that they don't know whats really going on outside their borders and need to educate themselves before telling people what's right and wrong.

- food for roma children in school for free
- unpaid bills for water, eletricity, heat are getting paid from town tax incomes

The footage is manipulative, there are of course many of them in special schools because of aggresivity and they have very often poor hygienical practices. Special schools are not for gypsies they are for children which can not be in regular class. Every man has the right for the same education and he will get it. You have to want it. And the housing...well this is what they have done with it.

This video is sad. It is sad because it is obvious that the hospital staff are prejudiced against the Roms. They state their reasons: they don't work, they are immoral, and they refuse to be proper parents. The Roms are unhappy because their rights are being taken away. Both sides feel abused.
In the US, we also have people on welfare. We also resent it when we are hard working. There are many that would vote for welfare recipients to be sterilized after two children. What can be done?
