  • You killed the game. O_O

  • i love how downloading nes games onto the wii keep all the same glitches the original hard copies have

  • This glitch is real. I did the same on the NES version on Nintendo 8-bit. Sometimes it work, sometimes not. Its a error in the program data in the game.

  • design flaw ftw

  • i'v done on nes too

  • It's as though he died and is having an out of body experience.. Is this the great secret of the eastern peninsula??

  • I just got this glitch myself. I was trying to walk to the next screen, only to find myself walking in the black portion.

  • I think that Game Genie should be added the Virtual Console. Just saying.

  • Cool, that happened to me once on the regular NES too, so it's not just on the Wii. I have no idea what caused it though.

  • Now liknk don't have to solve any puzzles... :(

  • Try blowing into the cd drive, lol

  • Happened to me once. I returned my tv.

    Hasn't happened since.

Also, I have a magic rock that keeps away polar bears.

  • @ILIKESFLAN 1 had nothing to do with tv its a glitch 2 rocks dont keep polar bears away its like being in the south pole and having an igloo that prevents penguins from flieing into it!!!!lol

  • It's not fake, I remember doing this in the original game.

  • I did this on the NES version once.

  • I ran into a glitch. Playing on the Wii, 2nd quest of Zelda, I exited level 6 and was apparently hit by one of those things that make you lose your sword. Well, when I got outside the level into the outer world? my sword doesn't work. It is like the remote is broken, but it is not the remote. So, I tried to play on without the sword and then got engulfed by one of those pancake looking things -- now I cannot even make Link die. Weird...

  • @viewman1 Red and blue bubbles appear in the second quest as well as the flashing ones.

Red bubbles take away the ability to use your sword until you do one of the following:

    1. Run into a blue bubble.

    2. Use a potion.

Blue bubbles give you back the ability to use your sword or nothing if you can already use it.

Flashing bubbles only temporarly take away your sword for a few seconds.

  • I've ran into a glitch myself. Out of the blue I cannot use my sword anymore. It is like the button doesn't work. It is not the remote, either. I was in the second quest and left level 6 (dungeon?) and I think I was hit by one of those things that keep you from using your sword right before I existed the level. After that, no sword. Has anyone encountered this glitch??

  • @viewman1 You must have hit a red bubble. It's not a glitch. Red bubbles make it so you can't use your sword until one of these conditions have been met:

    1. You run into a blue bubble.

    2. Use a potion (not sure if a fairy pond would cure this like a potion, but supposivly it does)

  • Ghost Zelda? lol

  • Link is a cheater.

  • I also found this glitch but I could get Link back off the menu screen. I just walked back the way I came.

  • weird...

  • that hapend to my game for the nes

  • that hapend to my game for the nes

  • Hahahaha awesome!

  • OMG LMAO!!!!!

  • I ran into a glitch earlier today. I was in the 5th dungeon and had just received the whistle. I was trying to exit one of the rooms after this (the rooms where you have to kill everything in the room for the door to open). So I killed everything and the door didn't open. I then tried moving the 4 blocks in the room and none of them opened the door either. So I had no choice but to go back toward the direction of where I got the whistle and commit suicide because there was no other way out lol.

  • @Sallyallie89

In the room with he 4 blocks you were supposed to bomb the right wall. If you had no bombs, THEN you commit suicide. I ran into that problem too LOL..

  • @Sallyallie89 the same thing hapend to me just a second ago!

  • @Sallyallie89 the same thing hapend to me just a second ago!

  • Just what the hell? Haven't seen that one before.

  • help! :P I'm on 2nd quest and I think I've been hit by a glitch.

I got killed by those wisropes in dungeon 5 or 6 (don't remember)

and now Link has lost his sword And magic shield.

it shows on the topscreen that I got the sword but I can't use it. and even though I've alreaddy bought magic shield he is not holding it. :O

does anyone know how to undo the glitch?

  • @HemsefromdesreveR start a new game

  • link created new story: the mystery of status screen LOL

  • Something similar happened to me when playing this on the Wii, except Link walked off the LEFT side of the screen and was just gone. The screen couldn't scroll or anything. It was just an overworld screen with no Link.

I think the guys at TASvideos figured out how this glitch worked and used it in a movie. Apparently if you're walking one direction and you turn a corner in just the right way, collision gets messed up and you can walk through blocks or off the screen.

  • Links just like "fuck the princess i'm outta here" lol

  • I believe you are mistaken. I don't believe that word exists in Hyllian vocabulary.

  • WOW. LOL.

  • I honestly don't know, I just walked up there instead of proceeding to the next screen.

  • @mattdog1000000 I think a missingo. got in your wii

  • wtf lol

  • Lol funny! I don't have wireless Internet and all that confoozing crap so I can't download from the Shop Channel, but I have this for the Gamecube and Gameboy

  • get it on the orignal system man if u cant then wii shop will do but u need the origianl version if not on nes then wii at least you get origianl with all the stuff

  • fake

  • I don't know how to prove its legitimacy any more than the video does... you can try to do it yourself, even though I've never been able to duplicate it.

  • @devinjakeclub I ran into this glitch on the original NES version. Not fake...

  • @devinjakeclub Like your mom's tities.

  • @devinjakeclub Everything is fake to people who use no capitalization, no punctuation at all, and only uses one single word in their comments.

  • how do you play NES games on wii?

  • download whit wii points

  • B link item

  • link: HOLY SHIT!!!

  • i'm pretty sure this glitch is only present in the Wii version that you download from the Wii Shop Channel

  • Congratulations! You found the item menu!!!

  • @WebVMan

Lift up the menu and start the music when Link found something.

  • How did you do that? And why are ratings disabled?

  • I have no idea, and good point.

  • awesome.

  • ur exploring ur items XD

  • lol

  • to download full games like this on ur wii do u hafta do stuff like wifi and go online

  • Okay! Off to save Zelda! *Gets stuck in status bar* o_______o FREAKING ZELDA NOOBS

  • Haha! For the first few seconds of the video I honestly thought Link was trapped within the tiny box of the overworld map in the upper left hand part of the status bar. It's still pretty funny though. Nice glitch.

Thanks for posting this video. Five stars!

  • hey! get outa there!

  • That Wood Be Funny If Link kood Chang The Number Of Rubes You Had LOL!

  • I believe you mean RUPEES. But yes, it would be FREAKIN AWESOME if he could mess with your menu screen. HEY LINK! STOP STEALING ALL MY HARD EARNED RUPEES!

  • hahahaha! XD

link is all like "what the hell is this crap? where am i?!"

  • That same glitch happened to me XD

  • lmao

  • ahhahahahaha

  • Funny stuff ! ^^ It never happen to me on the original one even I played a million times, maybe it's just on the Wii version.

  • Come on man! You show a cool glitch but don't explain how it's done?

  • Like I said, I really don't know how I did it; I was just walking up and rather than going to the next area I walked onto the HUD.

  • how do you do that?

  • WTF?I've got the zelda on my wii,how to do this?

  • Hmm, I wonder if this is possible on the original version?

  • Classic! I remember doing this!

  • how th heck am i carrying a river raft i dont even have a back packlol

  • po...ckets?

  • How do you play original Zelda on the Wii? I'm so dam techy iliterate when it comes to these kind of cool things

  • the wii has something called the "virtual console", as long as you're connected to the internet (through the wii), you can use the wii shop channel to purchase this and many other classic games

  • Cool thanks for the info!!

  • and as long as you have Wii points

  • Awesome.

  • lol

  • hey this happened to me once, and i was going to put it on youtube also, but then i moved it and couldnt get back up. weeeird

  • je je, cool game.

  • he is in love with the menu<3 haha:P

  • Dude this is like breaking the "fourth wall" rule in video games, coz like link would be thinking: "Hey, is THAT all I've got for weapons?" or "Hey, since when did I EVER have THREE hearts? Surely humans only got one!"LOL! "What a pixalated nightmare I'm living in"!

  • Perhaps also "WHAT? I only have 47 rupees?"

  • or how the heck am i carrying 8 bombs?!

  • lol Link decided to go exploring, then couldn't find his way back!

  • link: where the fuck am I?

  • lol thats ACTUALLLY a good glitch. u can get further without getting hit

  • Yeah it involves up + down / left + right.

If anyone is interested in the glitch more, PM me.

  • i want to know

  • How

  • Y'know, I'm not really sure... I was just walking up, and instead of moving to the next screen, I walked up onto the menu

  • Lol once on the Vc version of this game I got stuck between screens lol

  • Funny glitch though. I have played the SNES version of the game. Love this game absolutely timeless.

  • I agree

  • Well i downloaded it just to see how the series started & it's much tougher than Twilight Princess (My first Zelda) .

    It's impossibly tough :(

  • You should try hard mode... I can't believe that you can actually lose heart containers...

  • I downloaded this game again, and haven't had any problems. I wouldn't complain at all.

  • Oh I'm not complaining; I think it's magnificent they replicated/emulated the original so perfectly.

  • Lonk looks just as confused as that Moblin! LOL

  • I would imagine its possible on the gba one, as I'm pretty sure it's just emulated (not that I know how to make it happen in the first place or anything.)

  • LOL! That was awesome! And even better that you could get out of it.

  • That's pretty crazy... It's good that you didn't have to start over or something.

  • haha cool

  • I was just walking up in that screen all the way to the right, but rather than going up to the next screen, I walked up into the black of the screen.

  • how did you do this?

  • PPL download these games to enjoy decade old experiences, this includes glitches! You can't complain if they're exact copies. Or can you?

  • Thats really wierd that Nintendo didn't fix this in the Virtual Console Version...

  • no it's a good thing.

  • This is really cool, can somebody please explain how to do this?

  • i cant believe it

  • Tons of people used to hit (kick/punch/slap/etc.) their NES, this would usually make them work a bit better... or it could severely damage your game and/or system.

  • I know a glitch in the original...if you kick the console right as you defeat the 8th dungeon your game will erase and youll have to start allover again. Yea it sucks.

  • How the hell would you know this? You actually kicked youe nes after you beat the 8th dungeon?! WHY!?!?

  • That's not a glitch, it does that..

  • Really? I thought I was in denial and that I didn't see Link walk outside of the field box.

A glitch means it's not SUPPOSED to do that, and there's little point in wandering the item menu. Definition of a glitch.

  • yea. which isnt supposed to happen. therfore, glitch

  • that is the awesome thing of the virtual console, that they are exact copies of the original game and you can do almost every bug or glitch

  • I've done that before in the NES version... it's pretty weird.

  • Hahahahahahahaa.

  • you could also do that in the original version for NES... I know someone that got so pissed at this in the original game!!

  • Heh, I wonder if that glitch works on the GBA version. Pretty cool.
