D. Mario Monreal fue profesor mío en el Conservatorio de Valencia.

Solo puedo decir que fue el mejor profesor que tuve y que su pasión por la música la supo transmitir muy bien a sus alumnos.Él siempre decía que en su repertorio siempre estaría en nº 1 de Tchaikovsky.

Grande, muy grande en todos los sentidos. Me alegro mucho que hayáis subido este vídeo.... me saltan las lágrimas.

I have his fantastic recording of my beloved "Dancas Valencianas", a work by the great Vicente Ascensio.

Alone because of this recording Mario Monreal is one of my heroes of the Piano.

But he was a great master in any music for Piano, he was one of the best of all Pianists of all times.

I would wish that his recordings are all available so others could listen to this great Pianist!

mario monreal studied in munich, germany and received rewards..he was the first pianist in three decades to be honoured with a "suma cum laude ", he was not interested in becoming famous, he was simply in love with music..

he had a great admiration for horowitz and jorge bolet..

this recording has deeply moved me ..it is as proof of his pianistic accomplishment and greatness, now , after his passing, the one's that did not have an opportunity to hear him live can finally witness his talent..

este es el segundo intento de dejar un comentario..lo escribi en ingles..

mario monreal estudio en munich alemania y obtuvo premios y era el primer pianista en tres decadas en recibir un "suma cum laude" , no le interesaba hacerse famoso,estaba enamorado de la musica... le encantaba horowitz, jorge bolet...esta grabacion me ha emocionado mucho, es una prueba de su grandeza como pianista, ahora, despues de su fallecimiento, los que no lo oyeron en vivo pueden por fin conocer su talento aqui..
