Also, gas prices almost everywhere else in the world, especially Europe, are the equivalent of over $4 a gallong in many places, so these supposedly ridiculous gas prices are really not that bad, and if people would stop driving SUV's everywhere, the gas prices would drop.

You could interpret what you said in two ways: one way, in the obvious 10% increase, or in the way which you used, but didn't specify. The correct way of saying what you incorrectly said is that 'unemployment went up 10% of 4.5%' because if you ask a normal-thinking, non-schizophrenic person, you will get the same answer: "How can there be negative unemployment rate?"

Whenever income Tax relief is given to the taxpayers, gov't revenues has been PROVEN to double, ever since the Reagan imposed marginal tax relief, or JFK's income tax break, the same affect happened. And the recent Bush tax cut actually doubled our current revenues.
And Bush even went further, by giving us a tax rebate, because it will boost consumer spending that eventually lead to economic revival. It's obvious you don't know how these things work, because you want to reverse everything.

Oil companies do the R&D, exploration, digging, pay strict environmental fees, transporting, refining, distribution/marketing, and pay local/fed hazmat fees handling, while the Federal/State governments does nothing, but gets the biggest chunk of the pie. $47 to 50 cents to a gallon while the one who sweated the most, gets 3 cents per gallon. what so many uneducated people in this country need to get into their head is that the iraq war was started on FALSE pretenses. there were never weapons of mass destruction in iraq, and even though there were the tools to make them at one point, plenty of other countries already have wmd's. just because iraq was lead by an oppresive muslim dictator does not mean america was going to get bombed. and NO, IRAQ AND SADDAM HEUSSEIN DID NOT HAVE ANY PROVEN TIES TO AL QUAEDA WHATSOEVER.

The 14 UN resolutions, which Saddam Hussein (correct spelling)flagrantly violated, and thumbs his nose at, had only one provision for WMD's. In other words, that's not the SOLE reason why the UN and the rest of the allies, went ahead and punished him.

The UN? You mean the US, right? Maybe in the very beginning of the war some other nations helped us, but pretty much it boiled down to US, Britain, and probably about 2,000 mixed troops from various countries. That doesn't compare, however, to the dozens of countries, along with UN approval, that participated in Desert Storm 1 when Hussein illegally invaded Kuwait.
And you're talk of liberals calling for 'regime change', I think we were looking for a more competent replacement

Right, I agree with pre-emptive strikes against fanatics, jihadists, etc. Like the one in Afghanistan, that was really state-sponsored terrorism and I believe that our retaliatory strike was justified, what with 911 and such. But it didn't seem to me like Saddam was sponsoring terrorism, as Afghanistan did or Iran, Palestine, and Lebanon do.
