  • We had screw-type bin trucks in Cornwall

    back in the 80's,which were old then!They

    were made by the old Glover Webb and Liversidge company.They'd eat practically

    ANYTHING.The truck part was normally a Commer.Norba also made a screw type truck,but both types,so far as l recall,had only the one screw,not 3 as shown in this

    clip!As you say,pure Hollywood...

  • many made men have met their make in the rear of one of these, but the compaction system is definately "all Hollywood".

  • This is about the mafia. The guy who disappears (into the rear loader) is a made man, IIRC a Boss, about to be nailed by the Feds. Hard to say if this was suicide or a hit, but either way, there isn't much of body anymore.

  • Wow, how old is that movie? I've never seen a compaction mechanism in the back of a rear loader like THAT before (!)
