Well, I thing Matt and Jack are the best guitarists in this time. They have very different styles of playing, Matt has more heavy style, Jack plays more technical, more bluesly...So, their music are natural music, not such as shitly pop and rap, which we gets from musical industry.
WoW! Hell Yeah! Love The Raconteurs! Been listening to The Raconteurs, Hey You!, My Chemical Romance, Sick Puppies, No Doubt, and Blink-182....
Hey You! is still pretty new, but they're waaay dope. Pop/Rock/Punk with a real cool edge. Plus they've got a cute chick singer :-) .....check em out.....
Hey man, I pretty sure they're called Ebows not Elbows (as in there's no L). I just quickly googled 'guitar ebows' and Amazon came up with some. No doubt there'll be many more other places as well. Hope that helps.
The oh-so mysterious 3rd guitarist is actually the guitarist for the Queen's of the Stone Age, Dean Fertita. He toured with the Raconteurs after they released Broken Boy Soldier's.
NO MMS MUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! a muse le staba gustando la rola 2:09 !!!!!!!!!algundia deberian hacer un concierto juntos oh eso seria espectacular!!!!!!!!!!
I dont know why the description says the CD doesnt do them justice because Jack has ALWAYS struggled to sing this live as its just outside his range. The rest are tight as fuck though.
Muse is another of my absolute favorite bands. It's cool to see them rocking out to the Raconteurs. This was a great "Live", that also included the Gypsy Kings and Amy Winehouse.
@ytnbsa its an ebow. im not totaly positive on the mechanics but im pretty sure it has to do with electromagnetic pulses being sent through the guitar string, creating short loops. it makes a rly cool whine and i think u can get em new for around 100$
Both Brendan and Jack have screwed up with lyrics several times, but they ALWAYS make it seem like it was on purpose and then catch themselves. It's what makes them so admirable. I LOVE this performance.
Dude, what else could you be talking about, I see an E-Bow... You know, the thing with the magnets in it to create a feedback loop, thus making the whiny/droning sound...
What is that effect on the second microphone of Jack White? is it a special sort of effect box you can buy or does he use some kind of guitar effect on it?
All part of his "make 2 people sound like 4" thing when he got into the foot-peddle thingy. I think that voice part has something to do with the song's message.
We're not supposed to question a genius though, right? Which he is.
to answer a few of the comments here. the thing benson is using is an ebow. jack is not high. his influence is from old blues players, not British bands
@goldendragonq77 i just got a son house album and it reminds me so much of white stripes... or visa versa :P jack really shows the blues influence especially in white stripes
