I love this, it's great that it sounds different from Keane. The whole line up of collaborators to this band is pretty impressive too with Ronnie Vannucci (The Killers), Winston Marshall (Mumford & Sons), Tom Hobden (Noah & The Whale), Andrew Lowe and Jessica Staveley-Taylor (The Staves) to name a few!

I genuinely love this band and their music ! The music has been labelled as alt-country but as always with Tim R-O it doesn't matter - the songs are just brilliant songs. Was at the Luminaire gig and the Scala - and I loved them the first time but they really have gained confidence on the tour; they're all enjoying it so much - it's just all good - and so exciting to have all the new songs come flooding in.

This is so good how it sounds a bit like Keane, but it's got a unique style. I love Tim Rice-Oxley's voice, it's uttterly gorgeous! This is a song worthy of being on the Hopes and Fears album, which I think is the best. As soon as it's out on iTunes I'm downloading this album, it's sure to be amazing.

AMAZING! First of all, I love this song with all my heart! No matter who says what, I think Tim is a good singer. He puts all his heart and soul into singing and that counts. Secondly, the music is very cool. It's not Keane stuff and it's great that Tim and Jesse and their collaborators created Mt. Desolation. Finally, the idea with photos modified into videos is fantastic!!!! How was it made?!?!?! I want to learn this splendid technique! Well done, guys! Wish you world success! Keep on singing!

I'm sorry but I don't think Tim is that good a singer, and I don't really know why he feels he needs to do this! He is a brilliant songwriter, and I think he should stick to that! @lampsgirl13 Actually I've always been a fan of country and folk music. Check Jenny Lewis out: she's my favourite singer ever and her music is very close to that song. It's just logical I like this song as well. Duh. And of course you and darkchoc are entitled not to like this. What I hate is the "he should stick to write songs" bit. Are you some kind of god to know better than Tim Rice-Oxley what is good or not for him? It's this part of your thoughts which makes me go rolling eyes *ROLLS EYES*

One thing I absolutely love about Tim Rice-Oxley is that he's not afraid to venture into new territory, to write songs in other styles\genres. He's not afraid to evolve as a musician, and I respect that.

@darkchoc92 I saw them live this week. To be honest, listening to the first I think 2 songs I thought "what just happened?!"? By the fourth, I was really enjoying it, by the end of the set I had the biggest grin on my face. Don't judge it on one song. But, if you do listen to more and don't like it, that's ok too. You don't have to like everything a band or their members do. :o)
