I just wish that people who write and sing great songs like this would write them to apply to the entire world, not just the US as the US is not the centre of the universe and these problems are world wide and the entire world needs God, not just the US.

classicliberal, consider the time this song was written when you want to dispute the facts. Also he is not saying anywhere that we don't need sex ed in school. We do need sex ed in school. The kind that shows all the diseases you can get from sleeping around w/ someone you are not married to, that shows how damaging abortion is and the kind that says CONDOMS WILL NOT PROTECT YOU. I used to see this tape all the time when I was like 5. wtf is he talkng about? number 1 in violent crime and teen pregnancy? If you look at those stats for a south american country, they have us beat by quite a bit. If anything, they need more sexual education. If you compare US teen pregnancy statistics with those of Sweden's, which has much better, more thorough sex-ed programs, they actually have less pregnancy per-capita.

While I'm not happy with the way that the election turned out, my prayers are that God will touch President Obama's heart and convict him to do the right thing. And if he doesn't, there's plenty of comfort in knowing that the God of the past is still the God of today, and when Jesus returns, all will acknowledge him as Lord and Savior, whether they want to or not.
