it's footage from Alpha testings, its like a human squeletton, surely the finished product will be better, this phase was to test game mechanics and overall stability

When I played the closed beta, and friends and family beta stages,

The game wasn't that good, but then again there was alot of lag with the servers and stuff, but it might be better by the time open beta rolls around.

But no matter what happens, Star Trek online will be better, I guarantee it.

If they go with WoW's multi-shard approach, I will fucking murder them. They should have each world run off a different server so whenever you use a stargate, you're actually transferring to a different server seamlessly. Like EVE, but on land. Seriously, they should just use EVE's single-shard approach. It would work as perfectly and seamlessly as in EVE since you use stargates to access different worlds. Just use some kind of wormhole effect to mask the loading so it appears to be seamless.

They can just do what EVE does to solve the lag. Use multiple blades (if they get the funding to even use blades, that is) for more populated planets and have less populated planets share blades. And if something big is planned, some kind of event or massive pvp battle, the devs can redistribute the blades to accommodate for it so there isn't any lag when it happens. I really really hope they have the resources to use blades like CCP has.

As far as I can tell its going to be like WoW... a crappy system if you ask me. Buy a game and then have to continuely pay just to play it...

how does that seem like wow? ...this game has guns and a flamethrower..no bosses...the occasional overwhelming mobs protecting a unique looking npc that doesn't have high hp and what not..but no bosses..as to well...look at WoW
