  • I have a book about Aikido, but there is still a question on my mind. I have read that every sort of attack can be neutralised in Aikido, but imagine the following situation. You're being attacked by multiple attackers. Some who have fallen on the ground still lie near you, but you are busy neutralsing the attack of a third attacker. What would you do when a person on the ground grabs your feet which makes you unable to move? Or, what if this person makes you fall by doing this?

  • @larbo1616 aikdio doesn't come before common sense. If the guy grabs your leg, use the other one to stamp on him. Aikido teaches respect for all human life, but the life of some violent thug should never come before your own. Aikido works, but eventually you have to do what it takes to survive

  • Aikido is 90% mental 10% Physical... Real Aikido is more like Jiu Jitsu but i think it won't be effective in real situations because their ukes always hit very slow.... and nage do the technique very fast.. almost unbalanced. they should try with a real punch or a real grab... and you will see real aikido does not give the technique to control a real aggressive situation. in real situation opponents retract their arms, kick and hit while you doing the technique... this is only my opinion..

  • @miloedo i totally agree with this, i trained and i went to do a wrist lock on some guy who was stronger and he nearly snapped my fingers! i guess it does depend on your level of ability but you notice in these videos the opponent always runs at the insrtuctor with his hands out at waist level virtually saying 'here you go, here's my hands all ready for your wrist lock' i have seen many street fights and the only one thing that ever wins is the willing to smack the shit out of the guy!

  • @rashton78 you right, I use to practice with Judokas whom does not follow me and when they're grabbing me they let me go as soon as they feel I start doing something.. So, you have to do really soft and smooth in order to avoid any fast reaction. for example, If you grab with straight for a kote gaeshi or a shiho nage, you just can't do it, people reacts very fast. the most not feel power in you hands, so you can use the entire body movement. real aikido is too strong to be effective.

  • how effective do you think aikido could in a one to one situation with a real stand up fighter with a thai boxing ju justsu back ground for the terms of self defence

  • I must say that there are many differences between real life situation (street) and the competition.I am training Real Aikido for 10 years and it helped me a lot in street and in some occasions.I mean it is very useful for self defense.thanks.

  • Aikido like anything else is dependent on the skill of the person. I used Aikido in combination with strikes, when I worked as a bouncer at 30,, being 6ft 3in gave me a leverage advantage and the locks and pressure point were very effective in controlling customers. In combination with strikes it can be effective as anything else. At 59 I hurt all the time, those throws will break the body down. Be careful what you do in your youth, it will haunt you as you age. I own a hot tub and use it daily.

  • @whiteasasheet

No one can rely only on Aikido in a fight, just as no one can rely on pure jujutsu or striking. I see comments like your alot on Youtube, mostly from skeptics of Aiki who do not know anything about the art. Aikido and Aikijujutsu as arts are used the world over by police officers and spec ops units alike. Aiki is very effective in self defense situations, and more so, at least in my experience, than say BJJ. But every true aikidoka in existance knows you have to use strikes too.

  • ne deyesen... SUPER!ahsham meshgim var, heveslenmishem:)

    chox sagol videolara gore

    Azerbaijanda ogullar var da!

  • i dabbled in the martial arts a little, certainly not on this level. however, i always get the feeling that this events are far too staged and practiced. id like to see how this would work in a real life situation. i definitely like the style though. this is like some heavy duty Batman s#$5

  • el aikido el mas armonico parami mi parecer es un desastre.

  • I don't know what this is but it's an excellent demonstration. Definite aiki principals on display.

In fact it's more fluid and circular than most aikidoka I've seen.

  • Control in high-Alaikidu very beautiful work God bless you

  • Nice demo.

  • I don´t think, this is the right place to discuss the name "REAL" aikido here.

The Video is very good, i've seen other "REAL AIKIDO" Videos i didnt like, but this one is good to see . Congrats to Your grading! Best Regards from Berlin, Germany

  • not my kind of style, but really good

    thank you for posting

  • Very nice style

  • founder of real aikido made wrong step calling it new aikido style by real , it is very bad and makes to many usless discussions about which style is better and makes oldest TRUE aikido styles members think that real aikido style aikidokas feel better at technique. another point i spoted is work with guns , what is most important at aikido at iwama style (closest to morihey).Believe me without bukiwaza taijutsu is totaly usless . thx.

  • may be you are right.everybody has own opinion.

  • yes, but real aikido .. it means that other styles are not real , are something like ancient old style :) , but if u may read about people who studies aikdo before creation and after u would se that most closest aikido style to aikido founer is morihei ueshiba becouse he was creating it in iwama after war2 with saito , and aikikai style is made of his son koshimaru and kochi tohei who made his on syle, o sensei didin;t tought those styles bukiwaza , only saito tried after o sensei death thx

  • Yes I'am informed Thanks for the comment :-)

  • No.

  • excellent, id love to learn real aikido but i dont think to get any classes here in mexico haha awesome vid !!

  • Fantastic, Thank You.

  • awesome... !!

  • Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Ersten Dan!

  • why real ?

  • because it is one of the styles of Aikido and it is called Real Aikido.I am sending more info about it to your e-mail.

  • actually its only considered one of the styles of aikido because your founder says it is, but not recognised by the Aikikai Foundation, the International Yoshinkan Aikido Federation, etc. But since Aikido isnt Aikido just because of the techniques used but by the way you apply them and the spirutuallity behind them, and this style is brutal and not compassionate, it shouldnt be considered aikdo. Doesnt it bother you that your art wouldnt exist without Ueshiba and they dont really like ur art?

  • I know the info which you said. You know I like this style but I also know and like the philosophy of Aikido which founded Morihei Uesiba.I really respect him and all Aikidokas in the world.I think the only problem can be this styles name.but I have no right to say something about it.Because it has it's own Founder.

  • no all Vracaveric did was take a style and brutalise it. He didn't create his own. I've never seen a technique original to just this style. He just altered it. He didn't found a style at all.

  • I respect your opinion

  • True, each peson has to adapt what fits them.

    but prefer Aikido Aikikai ^^

    care you

  • very good!

    nice demostration!!!

  • Halal olsun ...

  • The only complain I have on your videos is you calling it REAL Aikido... I know many Aikido demonstrations and even schools are a little delusional or simply has no more "links" with practical applications of techniques being only a "way" of life to pursue not something usable in REAL life situations... But calling it REAL is very derogatory to all Aikido schools. There is certainly another nomenclature you can use to capture your view on aikido. For that 4 stars (or else it would be 5!)

  • REAL AIKIDO is one of the styles of AIKIDO and I am not the one who named it.The founder of this style is Grandmaster Ljubomir Vracarevic.

  • Real aikido is efficient, widely applicable self-defense skill, based on modified original aikido. The creator of real aikido is Ljubomir - Ljuba Vracarevic, holder of the black belt, 10th Dan, academician of real aikido and ju-jutsu.

  • Thanks to his long experience acquired and improved by continual contact with first-class Japanese masters of this skill, master Vracarevic distinguished several thousand techniques, purified them, reformed their elements, introducing in his own knowledge from other fighting skills, creating a new style - real aikido - extremely efficient and flexible system of defense techniques.

  • Flexibility of real aikido is just one of its most important characteristics. Putting together different techniques according to the real situation, maximal efficiency is achieved. Transition from one to another technique is simple, and only knowledge and skill will determine which elements someone will use. These unlimited possibilities of combining, enable multiple applies of real aikido.

  • There is no age limit in practicing real aikido. This skill is very convenient for the adults' recreation and it also effects decidedly on children's psycho-physical development and mobility.

  • Real aikido is especially suitable for body guards and special military and police units training. In this field, master Vracarevic has achieved unique results even out of this country - body guards training of the President of Zimbabwe, Mr. Robert Mougabe, the President of Libya, Mr. Mohamar Gaddafy, the Russian police special units "Alpha" and "Cobra".

  • Very graceful, powerful and fast. This simply blew me away! So awesome.

  • Halal olsun brat

Nice defense for the rear attack.

  • Great demonstration... If I have any soon I will keep you posted

  • Salam, Fariz! Outstanding demonstration! Bravo!

    Xoda hafez!

  • You understand very well that in all Martial arts is for Self-défense mechanism. Great!!!

    5 Star

  • Super 5*

  • Wooow. Super.

  • This is obviously not Aikido, whatever you want to call it has nothing to do with the Aikido founded by O'Sensei. You have no feeling or aprehension for what could happen to your uke...Aikido is not about destroying the person you train with!!! I hope you rectify your path and stop calling this 'Aikido'....and please do not wear a Hakama, it does not go with you.

  • so we are expecting your videos with your real hakama on you. please be more cautious about your comments as long as you are not considered as an authority. nobody has right to blame someone else like that

  • There different styles of Aikido.and in real life there can be also different situations.I mean in this video I showed some technique which are useful for self defense in real situations not only in dojo.

  • I think Humility should also be mentioned antulio!

  • O Sensei? That guy that was a great budoka until in his old age started believing in a supreme force of the universe and started throwing everyone without touching them? The archmage? Why are you offended by a demonstration of the practical application of Aikido techniques? Was anyone destroyed here? Aikido techniques are setup with atemi, how can atemi not "destroy" and enemy? Please, back up your claims or just don't make them... Love and peace.

  • awesome
