From what I've learnt of the Japanese Dub, they haven't missed a beat. But, Funimation are doing the English Dub...oh dear....

Only 3 things that I would Advise funimation when doing the English translation.

1: You get Crispin Freeman as Zelgadis

2: If Cynthia Martinez is not available, then get Lisa Ortiz to reprise her role as Lina.

3: Try to keep the tone of the last 3 seasons that were done by Central Park Media.

Could you imagine someone like Sean Schemmel voicing Zelgadis? No disrespect to Sean, because he is great as Goku, but as Zel? NO!

Nobody knows for sure but I think in the last episode they have left the door open for a new series. Lina says she and Gourry have to search for a new sword and this is exactly the beginning of the Slayers novel 9

Rezo is central in the plot of Slayers Evolution-R. The gang is searching for the jar which contains the soul of the red priest, but Rezo himself has not appeared yet, these images are only flashbacks of him

Anyone have a translation of this? I was sincerely hoping for an adaption of the sixth book... But with the Red Priest showing up so prominently in the trailer... It looks slim.

At least they are gonna include Zuuma's backstory for sure, I've read it in a Kanzaka interview. For the rest of the 6th plot, I think it's impossible they'll include it. In the sixth there are Garv's subordinates who are already dead in the Anime.

I'm glad to hear that. I know the whole Seigram being a whif of ash, floating in the breeze would be concern and all, but there is still Raltek that would need to be created for the Vezendi storyline. Just alter his backstory a bit and they could probably run with that. lol

Anyway, thanks for the heads up on the Kanzaka interview. And here's hoping we get the rest of the novels translated to English as well. ^_^
