@Jakeb2488 Its been confirmed that its a casual "wacky" L4D remake with Dead Rising symptoms. The devs admitted that the trailer was very misleading in terms of what to expect. The so called sandbox world is now confirmed as an Open-world which can only be explored by unlocking parts of the story. Also there is no day/night cycle but some missions will be played at night and im assuming the cutscene will fast-forward it back to day.

@TheEchoMarine I don't know if the balloon head sprite style is enough to turn you off, but have you tried Survival Crisis Z? Google it, it's freeware now. It's fairly hard to start depending on what class you pick and ammo is always scarce. If that's not enough, see if you can find the trial version: once you reach a certain point the arcade mode starts sapping your strength, eventually all you can do is run as long as your ammo lasts, hoping not to get bit. A real sense of dawning futility.

Having the multiplayer part of it being lobbies of people in certain areas in the world where some spawn as survivers and others spawn as zombies would be awesome. depending on the game mode the purpose can either be to convert all the survivers to zombies by biting them or just to kill each other repeatedly etc etc.
