I grew up in Bathurst and lived around the corner from a Lebanese family. They were my best mates and it wasn't until we got older (late teens) did we realise there was tensions between Aussies and Lebs in Australia - it's a Sydney thing, or was then at least. I loved those guys and still do. Ethnicity means nothing - it's all about attitudes. People today seem to have no fucking clue how to break down such simple barriers.
