  • SAM COOKE SOUNDALIKE!! RIP Grayson. YOu are missed.

  • @RRydnew you made me prompt a quick hello to your neighborhood singer Grayson Hugh ALIVE and HEALTHY at least until he has a Grayson "Huge" Thanksgiving Dinner. What's with you RR?

  • @AnnaMayWongSociety

I now found that out. The news have it all wrong. Thanks for reminding me that the 4th estate can really muck it up!

  • I can't even imagine how many women this song got him... So smooth.. One of my favs.

  • I stand corrected. In any case.. It is a very well writen, performed song. Love it to death. Pity he diodn't go on to make a few more hits

  • Not often you see a remake better than the original.. Awesome version..

  • @ellasamd nice comment but this was the original

  • @AnnaMayWongSociety I thought so so, but when I looked up the song, it says "Olivia Newton-John" originally recorded it. So, it may actually be a remake after all.

  • @LDean5643 No not true, Grayson had his hands on this first and crafted the arrangement with Todd Rundgren and recorded it but lost first right to release it to Olivia who recorded her version after Grayson.

  • this is a very pretty song i must of been 10yrs old wen this song came out

  • What a sweet song & cute video. I loved this song at the time. I wonder if he never went further because of Eddie Money and Marc Cohn? All had a similar style. Not to take away any of Grayson's talent, because he has oodles. Just a thought...

  • Is that the guy from Oz singing background vocals

  • Forgot what a beautiful song this was. Its not often we get these songs that just cut to the core of us. This song always pops up when I'm going through the same stuff.

  • Great song. Love it to this day. What a talented artist. I was also amazed how Grayson never hit mega-stardom. Look at what is out there now in comparison??

    Love you guy---keeping rocking on!

  • this is a lovely ballet ever since i heard it in the 90's wow! Cool Man Grayson Hugh!

  • Great song

  • gotta love the old skool songs

  • THIS IS GOOD MUSIC (:

  • yeah 1989 was a great year in music .i remember in perth the top 30 countdown on 96fm saturday mornings with bill ali.

  • This is an amazing song. One of the best in 1989 and still is. I could listen to it all day an never get tired of it.

  • luv!

  • I am glad to hear Grayon is alive and well. He has been missed by those who appreciate his musical talent and soulful expressions. I play and replay "Talk it over" often by means of youtube and love the whole ensemble. Whatever he is doing I'm sure will be successful. Thank you Grayson for the memories. Your music has not been forgotten. Best wishes to you from California LMJ

  • This was blue eyed soul in the late 1980s. I remember hearing this song for the first time and buying the cassette single then to find out that this man with the Sam Cooke was white. Where is he now? Where has he been?

  • @brothertee1017 Grayson is a friend of mine and on facebook, he is well and living a fine middle american life in Connecticut with a his long time wife. He has done movie soundtracks and teaches music - but always should have been a major star but it did not happen.

  • Notice the perverted smirk at 03:27... then she goes over to give him head at 03:41. Sick.

  • It was 1989 and I wasn't watching the video, I was in a cafe with someone special and this song came on the radio. Oh yes ,I remember.

  • muy buena

  • AWESOME!!

  • Wow! This guy sounds like Sam Cooke

  • No, he doesn't. @OldMrMemories

  • Is that Debra Messing, 10 years before "Will & Grace", as Grayson's love interest?? Sure looks like it!!

  • @thefabulousthomasj just like you i'm wondering same, whoever she is that's one sexy smile (or half smile)

  • It's not sexy, it's classy and official 1989. Do all men think about is SEX? Pervert. @landeverge

  • @bworiginal geez no 'lesbian wannabe'..call me a perv.again again and i'll personally find it my business to fly to the states and beat you beyond recognition,..you half fucked trigger happy ,dim wit

  • @bworiginal i hope you got my last mail...............if not ,go drown yourself you stereotypical overly obvious 'fuck'

    k

  • Yes, I got your last e-mail and the one before that. I was delighted. Thank you for replying! :-) @landeverge

  • @bworiginal ..''were you delighted indeed..hee hee.thats good so am i ..asshole

  • I knew you would be, son of a bitch! :-) @landeverge

  • Debra Messing? Are you blind? Hell no that's not her. First of all, she doesn't look like her, secondly that would be an insult to Debra. She was only 21 in 1989, and that tramp looks at least 30. @thefabulousthomasj

  • @bworiginal You mind adjusting whatever medication you're on there, Crazy, or should we get you into rehab immediately?

  • This my my favourite song when I was little.

    Lotsa memories =)

  • i was in high school when this came out.this song brings back memories.

  • Blue Eyed Soul at it's best!!!! No doubt

  • "Blue-eyed Soul..." is that what you [prejudiced people] call it? How disgusting. @MASONFSJR

  • @bworiginal Prejudice means to prejudge and since you don't know me, I can say you're Prejudice, as you have done just that. The fact that I ended Masonfsrj station in favor of Masonfssr; I didn't setup correctly the first time, I didn't coin the phrase Blue Eyed Soul. It is a sixties term meant with respect. African American Music before it was R&B was called Soul, from a time of great social upheaval, breaking away from the supposed shackles of the past, today we know we never did. Prejudice

  • @bworiginal A time when some hoped for true social justice and equality, be Ye Black or White; the term My brother was used as prevently as Cornell West uses it today when he thinks that he's having dialogue with some one of true character who's concern isn't his own fat neck, for the good of the society, a time when a sixties child married a black man from Africa, and a lot white men in Hollywood married black women. Peace and Love, when they so foolishly thought they could change the world.

  • @bworiginal You got the guts to answer, you call me Prejudice. I call you, young and dumb, along with your prejudice. You didn't even know what the term, Blue Eyed Soul means, not ever thing is based on prejudice. At twenty three you sure have a warped sense on social change above your age group, example; James Brown is called the God father of Soul a term given to him by Blacks, is that Prejudice, or when a White man of the sixties calls a Black Man a Soul Brother is that Prejudice.

  • @bworiginal Is it Prejudice cause you were born out of a time that you can only read about. Do you suppose you can establish someone Else's attitude, based on your own feelings. Is it prejudice to believe that whether Black or White, Asian or Hispanic, people of different races shouldn't marry, are you suggesting that unless a Blue Eyed White Man sings Both kinds of music, Country and Western, that he doesn't have Soul, then its only offensive to you. You've shown that you're the Prejudice one.

  • "Blue-eyed" soul... that's such an ugly term.

  • drybur73--Yes. Used to go every Saturday in NY, and there he was (pre 'Uncle Buck', 'League of Their Own', etc). Annoying at the time, but here I am, twenty-plus years later, looking this dude up on youtube. Catchy piece.

  • I remember they used to play this video in the movie theater before the movie started. It was something new. Obviously music videos before movies didn't work, but I do like the song. I forgot about it.

  • I almost forgot about this song and artist. I just heard someone talk about Greyson Chance and the name Grayson Hugh popped into my head. I loved this song and "Bring it all back".I can't believe this was the '80's.

  • I was lookingall over for this!!!

  • a lot of motown sound in this, waiting for the temptations to join in
